Swami's is know for its' incredible surf and for the Self Realization Retreat and Hermiatage where world travelers come to meditate or look out over the Pacific Ocean. Moonlight Beach is another beach to check out because it has beach volleyball courts, a playground, and fire pits. Bands, such as Switchfoot, are known to use Moonlight as a concert venue so be sure to check the schedule to see when your favorite artist may be performing. Plants flourish in this environment, so you will want to check out San Diego Botanical Gardens in Encinitas, which claims to have the largest bamboo collection in the United States.
