Tamarack

Tamarack beach is a section of the a long stretch of beach that eventually combines with Oceanside.  The Tamarack break is located at the base of a cliff, where the cliff starts to level out with the beach front.  Similar to most beach breaks, Tamarack can have steeper inside sections that break hard, and can be fun for short boards and for body surfing.  When the outside is breaking in larger swell, it can be a very fun wave with shifting peaks and long, fast shoulders.  Expect larger crowds here, due to the quality of the wave.  It’s best to ride here on rising tides.
