Amazing 4-bedroom vacation home sitting directly on the ocean! This is the LOWER LEVEL unit of a two-unit villa. This one-story rental has a full kitchen with granite counters, travertine floors, a living and dining room that looks straight out to the water, and an oceanfront patio that with patio furniture a barbecue, and a private spa! There are 2 washer and dryer units, so when you return home, you will not have loads and loads of laundry! AC upon request. Nothing was spared when this rental was built. Come escape to luxury on the beach!

This vacation rental is a home away from home. Each room has character, and everything is professionally decorated. We have stocked the kitchens keeping in mind you might be cooking a Thanksgiving feast. Just imagine all of the memories that will be made on your vacation on the beach! Everything was wonderful and we loved staying here. It was simply beautiful and felt like a castle. The only complaint I have is that there were cockroaches and the fridge on the 2nd floor didn't work.

The view is great and the beds and bedding so comfy. We were never able to use our garage with either a car in it or one blocking the entire driveway. Our place was not well cleaned when we arrived. The patio was dirty including dog crap on it and the floors inside were filthy.
But the location was great and all the people around us renting were fun and friendly. Having a bathroom for every bedroom was great.

We had a wonderful time. Rooms were clean and stocked with towels. Our only feedback is that the patio is extremely worn down. The turquoise trimming is falling off and has chipped paint everywhere. The glass wall was held up with duct tape. The patio just looked really worn down and weathered. I think a quick renovation of the patio space would really give your rentals a face lift and increase the value felt by your guests. We will be back, thank you!

The property has an amazing view and the patio is a really nice addition to the living space. A few housekeeping/maintenace issues that I noticed and should be brought to your attention:
-the hut tub was kind of slimy and the water murky
-the left hand crisper drawer in the fridge was broken off
-the hot water faucet in the clamshell room would not turn on at all
-the headboards in the canoe and clamshell room were poorly attached and banged against the walls with every turn of a person in the bed
-there is no garbage disposal??
-none of us could get cell reception in that lower level unit
- the left side handle of the glass wall was broken and we could not post that side. We had to put a chair in front of the glass to keep it from constantly blowing open.
- the gate on Pacific street was broken and missing a panel- therefore anyone on the street could access the corridor and come on down. That was a bit of a safety concern.
- the wooden dining chairs are extremely heavy and make a god awful sound scraping across the tiles with every little move- pads are needed on the bottoms of the legs.
-most rental properties have a few of some basic items in the kitchen, even if just left behind by previous renters like foil, seran, cooking oil. This kitchen was completely empty of those items.
-BBQ tongs would be a nice add to the BBQ tools.
-my sons and nephew said that the shampoo had a very bad smell- something between fish and BO.
Having said all of the above we would still consider this property for a future gathering, especially a larger group of people.

The week was really great- the house and location are fantastic. The company was very responsive. We had one unsettling situation with an unknown person using the code to enter the house but overall it was terrific. The dishwasher needs fixed or replaced soon - it works- but it’s weird with missing buttons.

The staff is outstanding. But the unit was not in the best possible condition for the money. The sliding glass shades do not cover the width of the opening. Did not block the sun adequately. We had no cold water in kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The bed in Clam Shell bedroom had a mattress on a squeaky metal frame.

Great experience. Hoping to rent again. Issues-the jacuzzi leaked and was not able to refill the hot tub. Maintance was scheduled for next day. Also window blind looking out to the beach on the right was difficult to use. I would get rid to the second dining table. Not needed and cramped the kitchen space. Ceiling in front room needs paint around the sprinkler.

Amazing View! Great to be right on the water but away from the boardwalk. The beach was a 5 minute walk, but not a problem. The property was in good shape, although one of the patio chairs was broken when we arrived. We needed additional sheets, but management was quick to respond. Oceanside has come a long way, but still is a "beach town". Overall, a great stay and would definitely recommend it!

Great Birthday Weekend

We like many people have not done much of anything since the virus hit. This was the perfect way to gather as a family and enjoy a wonderful weekend. The only issue we had was getting the garage door open (we had the wrong code). But after that everything was great. The property is in a great location, very clean and well maintained. We used the kitchen, the spa tub and the grill everyday.
The rooms were spacious and we loved the doors opening up in the front so we could hear the waves all day long. We can't wait to come back.

Great Spring Break Stay

We had a great time with our kids for Spring break. The property was perfect for our size family and was very clean. The stay was equipped with all the cooking supplies which was nice. Plenty of cups, plates, and silverware. Also plenty of towels. It was nice it had a washer and dryer in our unit. The only complaint is that it wasn't a quick walk to the sandy part of the beach. The beach was about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach with a lot of rocks. We didn't mind and it was nice walking to the pier. Would come again.

Beautiful Sunsets

Great gateaway

Great location. House was very clean. Very covid friendly. We didn't want to leave. The beach right in front of the property is not good for kids. You need to walk about 1/2 mile down the beach to a more kid freindly area. Otherwise would definitely book again!

Beautiful place, but needed maintenance and cleaning

the location is beautiful! we had to call for three separate electrical issues, a clogged drain on the patio couldn't be cleared, which meant we had to wait for the dirty water to evaporate, a window blind that was not only not operational, but fell off its mount near the ceiling, there was a lot of dust on the window screens, and the windows couldn't be opened; in general the property needs some good cleaning and upkeep.

Great beachfront condo

Great beachfront condo, it was clean and bright, easy to access with the coded box, no fussing around with trying to pick up keys. We had upstairs neighbors but the condos were insulated enough that we rarely heard them. The hot tub was a really nice addition, very relaxing at night.

Fun place

Great location and a fun place to stay. The rental had all we needed for our stay. The condo is starting to show its age and the pics make it look a lot better than it really is. We had some issues while checking in with the upper condo parked in our spot and also the garage door opener and tv remotes were mixed up between top and bottom condo. The staff was great to get that all fixed for us and were there right away to help. I feel the housekeepers/rental staff needs to take a little more time cleaning and making sure everything is ready for the guests. We had a great time and you cant beat the location.

A weeks vacation at the ocean.

This was our 4th stay at the beach. I found the unit not up to the standards we were expecting. The gate at the top of stairs would not lock,the fire pit would not stay light,there was not enough soap provided in the bathrooms for a weeks stay. The garage door opener did not work but someone did come to fix it. But we did enjoy ourselves.

Only thing to consider. We had the ground floor of a very long building that has little natural sunlight except for the part facing the beach. The windows in the back rooms open up to a dank and moldy "alley". You need better ventilation in the back - there is a mild mold issue now and it will only get worse over time.

Place was as described and shown in the photos. The living room is actually a bit bigger than it appears in the photos. Something to note is that you need to bring all your own food and cooking essentials. For example, there was no coffee of filters. There also was no olive oil. Luckily there is a store 2 blocks away where these items can be picked up. Very professional management company, quick to respond to all questions and concerns. I would stay again and let the waves put me to sleep!

Great Place!

We had 10 girls and there was plenty of room. Everything was clean and the view was awesome. Had some great neighbors too. Close to the pier and restaurants (Bagby and Larry's)

We have stayed at this property (although a different unit) many times. This unit was not as well kept up as the other. However, you can't beat the floor plan and property location and overall accommodations. The management company was very responsive to requests for little fixes.

Family Celebration

My family LOVED this experience. Six 40-50 year olds, a 2 1/2 year old and a 75th birthday girl relaxed, played, ate & laughed a lot. Additional family came on Sunday. Beach walks to playground and pier, convenient to Urgent Care, market and surf shop for board rentals. Kitchen was well supplied and welcoming ~ just like home. Patio is great - jacuzzi, grill, view, access. Each family had their own bedroom and bath. We just enjoyed each other and everything about the beach. My little granddaughter called it "Grandma's house" ~ and it was. Grandma has a ten year history at the beach house with her book group, so I knew it would be perfect ~ and it was.

We had 4'couples for the days we were ther and it was truly the perfect home for us. The home is beautiful and the view and the sound of the ocean hitting the rocks was breathtaking. A Fabulous Oceanside Getaway!!

Being from the landlocked state of Kansas, let me tell you what a dream it was to wake up to the Pacific Ocean every morning & watching the sun set every evening. Right from our patio!! The hot tub/spa was wonderful in the evening. We found a wetsuit for my nine year old & bought a boogie board and hours of fun were steps from our door. The property was secure & safe. Had no problems with the access codes. I downloaded the BFO app to my phone & had all of the info right at my fingertips. The condo was spotless & well equipped. Would stay again in a heartbeat! Oceanside is the epitome of what midwesterners envision a west coast beach town to be... all the way down to the palm tree lined streets!! Staying in this condo was just icing on the cake! 🙂

Not Quite on the Beach

Overall we were happy with our experience. However, we weren't able to get into the property at the check-in time of 4 PM because the code we were given didn't work! After several futile attempts, we called the company and one of their employees in the area was there soon after to reset the code and let us in.
The location was excellent as it relates to the views of the ocean (very close!), but to get to any usable beach it usually required a walk north about 5-7 minutes toward the pier. It wasn't that big a deal to walk it, but I guess we were expecting some actual beach right in front of our unit. There was a tiny bit of it at low tide, but that seemed to be about it.
The unit itself was very nice and pretty well furnished, but some of the pans were showing signs of age - non-stick pans that had the non-stick coating pretty well roughed up. Otherwise, no complaints. There were workers from BeachFront Only around the units quite a bit which was nice to be able to ask them for some minor help or questions.
Verizon cell service was generally not avaialble inside the unit, but could be received by going up the stairs and getting closer to the street. Wireless internet worked well except for the far back bedroom where service was spotty. Hope this helps!

Hi Stan: thank you for the feedback. The Coastal Commission is undergoing a massive sand replenishment project this Fall (2012), to restore the beach, even during high tide. Another option you may like for you next visit are one of our 4-bedrooms on the 1000 block of S. Pacific Street---those homes have a private staircase to walk over the rocks and onto the beach and the beach is wider at that location. If you have any maintenance or inventory-related issues during your visit, our Operations team is just a phone call away and we are happy to send staff to service your unit right away. PINCH ME!

It was an unbelievable experience. We were in one of the few properties that were actually on the beach. It was great to not have to worry about our kids crossing a road to get to the beach. The place appeared new and very well furnished. We lacked for no kitchen utensils. We had everything to make cookies, rice crispy treats, smoothies, crepes and more. They even had a cheese shredder. The linens were clean and new appearing. The beds were soft and large. We have stayed at other properties in the area but none compared to this one. We will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Family Fun in the Sun

The only problem we had was on the last night with a very noisy group that arrived next door and partied until after 2:00 a.m. They did not respond to our request to quiet down and we did not know who to call to enforce the fact that we were told no noise after 10:00 p.m. If we go again I'll ask that question before I arrive. We were just lucky it was the last night of our stay.

I would get a propane bbq and the biggest issue is: check in and check out times are pretty expensive for 18 hrs. We should have at least 20 hrs-22hrs. Most Hotels are checkin at noon-2pm and checkout is usually 11am. Granted, not as nice as our house, but the turnaround should be faster...
Re: Check-in and Check-out times---most hotels have a check-in time of 3:00pm and a check-out time of 11:00am. Our homes cannot be compared to hotels. And, since we offer full-service turnover of our homes, we need a full 6-hr window between guest stays to complete a turnover. Full laundering of all linens and towels--beach and bathing, cleaning and re-stocking of bathrooms and kitchen, vacuuming all carpets---every surface of the property is cleaned, and the outdoor areas of the property--windows and spa---are also prepared fresh before your arrival. It is a big undertaking which requires a team of staff to complete. And in order to uphold our quality standards, we must time check-in and check-out times accordingly. -The Team at Beachfront Only.

Perfect Escape for a Family Getaway

We stayed here over spring break and could not have been happier. The house if gorgeous and it was large enough to accommodate both our family (of 4) and our friends' family (of 5). The view is spectacular and the beach is virtually private.
In the area, you have lots to keep you busy. We have young children, so being so close the Legoland and the Sea Life Aquarium was great. My wife especially liked the short drive to the Carlsbad Premium Outlet stores.
We also enjoyed some of the local restaurants. The Daily News Cafe in Carlsbad for breakfast is a good bet. You should also try The Fish Joint if you like sushi. It's definitely not your traditional sushi restaurant!
All and all, I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great vacation spot on the beach!

Pleasant, Comfortable Trip

The home was more spacious then I expected. The amenities were very nice for a rental. The view was great. The only draw back is that I thought I would be able to see my children play on the beach from the patio. That was definitely not the case. The rocks were very high and the beach low. The entrance to the beach was further away then I would have liked but not too far at all if your goal is not to be able to reach your children in a flash. The beds were very comfortable and for having 12 people in the unit I must say we never ran out of hot water. The spa was cleaned almost everyday. Everyone seemed to obey the 10pm no noise rule. There was a huge party in the unit above us and I really thought that we were going to have problems that night. But low and behold at 10:00 the noise just stopped! Amazing.
