In the event of a fire, call 911, immediately. Fires are only permitted in designated fireplaces or fire-pits on property. Fires are NOT permitted on the beach.

Furnishings/Equipment

All rental properties have fully equipped kitchens and living areas. To avoid possible damage and/or fees, it is best not to move the furniture. If furniture is moved, we do ask our guests to move it back to its original location(s). Please respect any locked closets; these are maintained for the property owner’s personal use.

Garbage Collection

  • Oceanside: Fridays
  • Encinitas: Mondays
  • Carlsbad: Mondays

Please place all trash in the provided bins. These bins may be located behind or beside the property or in the garage.

Grills and Balconies

Be careful when using the barbecues and do not leave hot coals unattended. Close west windows if your grill becomes smoky, as it can set off the smoke detectors in the unit. Always keep the lid closed when barbecuing.

Please do not hang any items on balcony railings, such as towels and bathing suits, or throw anything from the balconies.

Heaters

Space heaters are located in closets. Only use when necessary and never leave on while unattended. We want to be kind to our planet and not waste precious resources.

Hair-Dryers

There is at least one hair-dryer in each unit–located in one of the bathrooms. Please return the hair-dryer to the same bathroom at the end of your stay.

Linens/Towels/Laundry

Please do not remove any linens from the unit except for beach towels.

Our units have high efficiency washing machines. As such, they cannot tolerate very much detergent. Please only use ¼ cup of laundry detergent or 1 detergent pod.

Locks and Key Codes

Please remember the codes to your units and do not give these out to anybody other than those staying in the unit with you. Use the hotel locks on the front doors at night.  Always lock the doors when you leave the unit.

Lost and Found

Remember to check thoroughly for any personal items before leaving. We will collect items left behind and hold them for 3 weeks. You may request to have any lost items returned to you, but you will be charged a minimum of $25.00 for shipping.

Maintenance Issues

If any maintenance problems arise, please call us at 760-687-2270 immediately.

Noise Policy

We abide by the Good Neighbor Policy and want to remind all of our guests to keep their noise level down after 9 PM. Our homes are in residential neighborhoods and we want to be respectful of all residents. If complaints are made by neighbors after 9 PM, there may be a fee assessed. Pets

Pets are only allowed in our units if agreed upon and stated in the rental contract prior to check-in. Never leave pets unattended. If we find you have brought a pet that has not been registered, additional fees will be incurred.

Refrigerator(s)

Please keep the refrigerator at its factory settings. A common mistake is to turn the setting to “High” after shopping, in an attempt to cool down all new food in an empty refrigerator. Please DO NOT do this. One option is to leave all non-perishable items out of the refrigerator, such as canned drinks, and let the perishables become cold first.

WARNING: Changing the setting to “High” may cause the condenser to freeze up. This could result in a maintenance call and your food could be spoiled at your expense.

Smoke-free Policy

Smoking of any kind (cigarettes, vaping, marijuana, etc.) is NOT ALLOWED on any Beachfront Only properties, including patio areas. Failure to comply will result in a smoking fee of $500.

Thermostat

In an effort to be kind to our planet and not waste precious resources, please do not leave the heat or air on with the windows or doors open. Please turn the units off when you leave the property.

Toilets

Most toilets at our rentals are serviced by a sump pump.

Do NOT flush anything other than toilet paper in order to prevent a clog or back up.

Umbrellas

When umbrellas are not in use, please close and tie up. The wind may result in damage or carry them down the beach.
