The IRONMAN® and IRONMAN® 70.3® Triathlon Series is the world’s premier full-distance and half-distance triathlon series consisting of over 150 qualifying races in 50+ countries, regions and territories across the world. Athletes from around the world travel to Oceanside for the IRONMAN 70.3. The course consists of the following: 1.2 mile swim in the Pacific Ocean, 56 mile bike loop through Camp Pendleton, and 13.1 mile run along the coastal community in Oceanside.
Since 1985 the Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association has coordinated with the City of Encinitas and local business to hold the annual Encinitas Spring Street Fair. The Encinitas Spring Street Fair is a celebration that marks the arrival of spring, turning the historic Highway 101 into a bustling promenade of festivities. Typically spanning several blocks, the fair is a showcase of local businesses, artisans, and musicians. Hosted by Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association, the event is designed to bring the community together in a dynamic and engaging way, providing a platform for businesses to shine and residents to revel in the charm of springtime.

The Oceanside Farmers Market is held every Thursday morning from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm* in three distanced sections from Ditmar Street to Tremont Street on Pier View Way, with two sections on the east side of North Coast Highway and one section on the west side of Coast Highway.
