The Oceanside Parks and Recreation Department will host an incredible fireworks display on Thursday, July 3, 2025, in a joint celebration of Independence Day and the 137th anniversary of the City’s incorporation on July 3, 1888. A spectacular fireworks show will begin at 9:00 p.m. Gates to the event open at 4:00 pm and there will be family-friendly activities and food trucks.

Join Oceanside for its’ for the 29th annual Independence Parade as it makes its way north on Coast Highway from Wisconsin Avenue to Civic Center Drive (just past City Hall). The parade starts in front of the 101 Cafe (Coast Highway at Wisconsin Avenue) at 10:00 a.m. and works its way north with the first unit of the parade reaching City Hall around 10:15 a.m. The running time from beginning to end is about two hours.
Transforming the streets of Carlsbad Village into an open-air gallery, this beloved tradition showcases 150 local and regional juried artists featuring an impressive array of mediums including painting, photography, sculpture, glasswork, mixed media, and more.
Attendees can meet the artists, watch live sculpting demonstrations, glassblowing, printmaking, and experience the creative process up close. This year, the event is excited to welcome back the popular Chalk Zone, featuring five incredible artists who will create live throughout the day.
