Amazing Stay

Rented this property for a writer\'s retreat. It was absolutely perfect. Everyone loved having their own bedroom and bathroom. The house is in a great location. You can walk to coffee and restaurants and along the beach. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking. Views are great! The property was very clean and is managed well.

This home is such a great location! Walk straight out the back to the beach, walk across the street and down a bit and you\'re in Carlsbad village to get coffee or shop or have a meal! Home was perfect. Jacuzzi wasn\'t h was not heating they came right out and it was heated over night! A must stay

Great location - Needs some work

The location is perfect. The 51 steps are daunting with beach gear. Lots of condition issues; doors stick, patio cushions torn, ants in bath. Mostly clean except windows and tracks. No beach gear provided. Cleanup policy great. Lots of bedrooms and baths.

We love this rental and Beachfront as a property manager. The rental is super spacious and perfectly located on the beach just a block away from the Carlsbad Village. We also appreciated that management affirmatively checked in with us the morning after we checked in to make sure that we had everything we needed and there were no issues with the property. We will definitely continue to rent this property for our annual trip to Carlsbad.

This beautiful venue is perfect for our large annual family reunion gatherings!! We loved the property, the location was great ! We had beachfront that suited our family well.
There were a couple of broken items when we got there, the handrail at the top of the stairs was pulled out of the wall, lots of missing and broken screens and sliding doors, also the shower soap dispenser in the downstairs bath fell off the wall...scared us pretty good!
all in all we loved the house, it met our needs quite nicely, Thank you!

The location was amazing, but when we arrived we quickly realized that there a type of broken glass on the balcony. When we searched further, we then realized a lot of it had been swept into the corners along with two cigarette butts. I called quickly to report it, but no one came to take care of the situation. Also, cleanliness in some of the bathrooms was not acceptable. In a couple of the bathrooms, there was hair in the showers before we even bathed. This made us wonder what else hadn't been cleaned. Thus, we spent the first hour wiping down sinks, toilet seats, etc. Was pretty bothered that we had to spend the first hour of our vacation cleaning. Was also upset at this since we had to pay a huge amount for cleaning.
Besides the bathrooms, there was trash under the couch.
Also, there are rusted nails sticking out on one of the tall wooden chairs located near the BBQ and hot tub. There was also some trash near the gazebo. One of the guests in our unit went out and swept and sprayed it down.
It was difficult at times to close the garage door.
There wasn't a spatula, so we made a trip to the store to purchase one.
We truly didn't expect the place the place to be perfect, but were surprised at the issues we had.
I do have to say that when I did call customer service before and during my stay, I was treated very nicely and very professionally. Team member was also very nice.
Except for the location, I would not recommend this particular property.

Hello. I've used Beachfront only 4 times now and the experience has been great. This particular property had a significant crack in one of the guest rooms and one of the cloth chairs had a loose leg which could present a hazard to future guests. We saw it and put the chair in the corner so our family wouldn't sit on it. All lights in one of the bedrooms were out because of a blown fuse. I texted the management and they told me how to check the breaker box so we got that fixed. The dishtowels in the kitchen smelled horrible. We went out and bought different laundry detergent and washed them. The detergent left under the sink smelled bad too. The spatula for the grill in the drawer in the kitchen is broken and should be replaced. Finally, the frying pan has lost its teflon coating so the eggs stuck to it quite a bit. But for all those little things....we had a GREAT family vacation and we will continue to use Beachfront Only when booking in that area. Thanks for the chance to give feedback and for a great experience from booking through the visit!

Location can't be beat. The property is looking run down, repair work half finished n the outside, lots of tiles missing, garage door opener doesn't work all the time. The windows were definitely not clean. They wanted a pretty hefty early check-in fee when we knew it wasn't rented the day we were coming in so we passed on that and yet they sent their crew in before 10am on check out day to start cleaning the hot tubs and in doing so turned off the water to the unit somehow.

This 9 bedroom venue was perfect for our larger family reunion as everyone had their own room and ensuite! The beach location is beautiful and so many amenities and eateries to walk too as well. We were also able to barbecue and enjoy our surroundings with our gathering. We will definitely be booking this location again for next year's gathering! Thank you Beachfront!

Had a wonderful stay. Right on the beach, large enough for our group of ladies, good location, comfortable. Although we had some issues....hair dryer not working, can opener not working, garage door not working, no water at all at some points....the management was spot on and got thing correcting quickly. Great follow up. We would absolutely stay at this place again.

We arrived to find a cracked glass slider.
The toilet in my room had a orange substance (?) in it and it did not totally go away after flushing.
This unit does not have A/C so the rooms get really warm at night. Some bedrooms had and extra fan which was helpful, but not all rooms had these fans.
The wall A/C units need maintenance.
The windows need screen so we can "enjoy the fresh air" and keep flies and mosquitos out.
The ceiling fans were really dirty.
The kitchen did not have a trash can, it needs to have a tall trash can.
The wine opener needs to be replaced, it's broken.
The slate surrounding the spa and gazebo needs to be repaired. One of my associates tripped on some loose tile.
We rented this unit in 2019 and it was in great shape at that time. I have already booked our October 2023 trip so I hope find this unit in better shape during our next stay. Thank you.

A Piece of Heaven for a Week, with Family

Extraordinary, in every way.....our entire family comes together for one week at the beach, which we have been doing with Beachfront since 2006,minus the COVID year of 2020. We loved the huge living space, where we could all join together. We had a "prom" party our second night there, honoring our two grandchildren who graduated this year, without proms. We did get two noise complaints, since we thought the noise ordinance was like Oceanside, where we had always stayed...10 pm. We did quiet and the rest of the week we ate dinners together in that huge living space, and celebrated everyone's birthday one evening. Everyone loved having their own bathroom and sleeping apace....we have a great grandchild who is 1 and the oldest is my husband, who is nearly 79. The gazebo area was heavenly for everyone returning from the beach, to hose off, and get warm. It was an easy trek from there, where we kept all of our beach paraphernalia, to set up our area on the beach for the day. The waves were increasingly larger throughout the week, with the biggest waves, and the warmest water on the last day. Your service is stellar, which is why I am determined to return to one of your properties each year. Starting on day 1 I was on the phone getting all the codes worked out for the front door, the garage and the gazebo gate, which you so lovingly helped me with. Whenever I called, which seemed like a daily occurrence, you lovingly and kindly handled every thing, even bringing me some kitchen scissors. We are all excitedly awaiting our 2022 visit to 702 North Strand in Oceanside. We are sorry to leave this beautiful home, but the 10,000 increase in one year was too hefty for us. Thanks each and every one of you, in the office, in housekeeping, in maintenance for having our stay be absolutely heavenly. And thanks for cleaning the hot tub during the week....what a treat to have a nice clean hot tub for the last two days. Love you all and may you all be richly blessed.

Wonderful Vacation Home BUT Not Child Safe

The house was in an excellent location and was enjoyed by our eleven family family members (six adults and five children). Hoewever, having a family with young children (ages one through seven) posed serious challenges. There were numerous windows on the third and fourth floor which had no screens. Opening the windows for ventilation was a substantial risk for serious injury and possible death. The AC units are not sufficient to keep the house cool and the owners should install screens for safety and to allow cross ventilation. It is a minimal expense and would save the owners on electricity. It would make the stay much more enjoyable and worth the cost. We would stay here again next summer if screens were installed. Please do so and let us know.
Carlsbad 2021 "Dirty House

We had blood and hair on 3 beds that we found. we washed the sheets and the blood came out so it was fresh! I texted you guys and they just offered to come clean them? We put all of the sheets in the washer asap so that wasn't fun doing laundry the first night on a $16,000 rental. The Floors were dirty with long hair in the corners. This was our second year at this house and this year was disappointing for sure. I was expecting a refund for that night or an offer for an extra night, not cleaners. We paid for it to be clean when we got there.

Carlsbad stay

The unit is older but in overall good shape. Great upstairs patio overlooking the beach. One of the few actual beachside rentals around. Most have a road between the unit and the beach. The rental staff were great, and everything went well. The only negative was that two of the room air conditioners are not cooling at all. Since we did not need all the bedrooms we did not even mention it. We just moved into different bedrooms. It is not usually all that hot there anyway, but in the evening when the sun shines in it can get a bit unbearable without the unit working. For the price I would expect everything to be working and in top shape.

Quick weekend bday celebration

We rented the home to host our family to celebrate a special birthday.
The house was clean, spacious, and in a great location. There are a TON of stairs so it is not very accessible to the beach if you are in a wheelchair or have trouble with stairs. The amenities of the house were plentiful. It was well suited for home cooking. There was also plenty of street parking across the street from the house, and if you have to park farther just be sure to read the signs.
It’s in a really high foot traffic area, but it still felt safe.
The views were incomparable. It was so nice from the living room and the upstairs deck. We also liked that it was super spacious but still felt cozy.
The bedrooms each have their own en suite bathroom. The only downside was that it was hot and the AC units didn’t seem to blow out any cool air.
Since there are COVID regulations for cleaning, our 2-night rental felt really more like 24 hours given that we couldn’t check in until after 4pm and had to checkout at 10am. This isn’t the fault of the rental company but something to keep in mind if you’re only booking 2 nights. It will feel rushed. All of the strict policies about the doors locking at 10am and having 17 people there, one person left an item inside and we couldn’t retrieve them.

We want to encourage you to contact our management staff during your next stay so we are able to address any issues right when they happen to make your experience the best it can possibly be. The check out time is 10am and the check in time is at 4pm due to the fact that most of our beachfront properties are so large (4-11 bedrooms) that it takes time to clean the entire house, clean all of the windows (and re-clean the west facing ones again), the outside of the property, drain and clean Jacuzzi’s, change the linens, etc in order to have it ready for the next clients amazing stay. The charge for the early check in or late check out is because we have to re-arrange schedules to have additional staff come on board to make this happen. Sticking to a strict schedule ensures that all properties are cleaned on time (since that is only a 6 hour window). We value your feedback and are looking forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Perfect Getaway

What a location! At the end of Carlsbad village drive (the beach end) we could walk to Norte or Las Olas for Mexican dining, pizza, ice cream, all within a short walk. The property is gorgeous! Everyone will be drawn to the day bed in the corner window. It is clean and well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. This home gives off a great vibe. I felt special every time I entered. All the rooms are have their own charm. The BFO staff was helpful. The app made entry and basic info available on my phone. The WiFi was strong. I would highly recommend BFO for future stays.

Great Family reunion

Everyone got their own bedroom and bathroom! Wonderful! We had trouble with the oven, and Beachfront only replaced it! Very professional.
