Great Rental!

We rented this unit in conjunction with the upper unit so that we had the entire building for a writer\'s retreat. It was fabulous. We loved having a kitchen on every floor, bathrooms for every bedroom. Views were amazing, furniture very comfortable. And location can\'t be beat. Our only complaint is the Cove Room, which has a full bunk but no way to actually get on the top bunk and it also takes up way too much room. You can barely walk around it and nowhere to put a suitcase. It was the one room no one wants to stay in again. I hope in the future management will consider switching out that bunk for a double bed or a trundle bed, so that the room is more usable, especially for adults. But everything else was fabulous! We can\'t wait to come back.

Excellent Beach Front

We had a great late Father\'s day celebration weekend. The location is perfect for a lage party. We had a bedroom and bathroom for each of us. All amenities were included so it made it easy to just enjoy. You walk right onto the beach and back right back without having to carry everything with you. Communicating with staff was easy via text, and the one parking issue was resolved fast and easy. The only negative was the BBQ ,only one burner worked, so it made it slower, but not a deal breaker.

Wonderful location!!

We had a wonderful time. Perfect location!! There were 6 of us and it was great having our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The upper level living room was smaller than it looked in pictures so that was the only thing we’d change. We had no issues so only had to contact Beachfront Only when we checked out.

We had a great stay. Only complaints we had were some dirty floors and a few bugs.

The home was great. The one big drawback was that the master bathroom shower was so full of hair that the whole shower , bathroom and the bedroom up to and including part of the carpet around the bed got soaked. It took most of the towels from the other bathrooms to dry up the flood. They did come to clean out the blockage later in the day. Other than that it was a perfect place , especially the game room and large family room.

Great location! Appreciated the quality of the appliances, furniture, towels and stocking. I wish it had a garbage disposal. We had a rough start with a freezer not working properly and a clothes washer not draining properly. Also wish the title floors were cleaner at the start and that there was a mop to keep them fresh/cleaner. The property management Team was responsive, although the texting system for reporting issues was not a prompt, at times. Overall, great experience.

Excellent Location

We truly enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the location of the property relative to the beach and Village was excellent. We had issues getting hot water for 2 days but it was fixed after the 2nd request. The property is advertised as a single level unit however there is a flight of stairs down to the unit as well as an additional flight of stairs to the beach. For the majority of our family this wasn’t a problem but my Mother is in a wheelchair and I wish I would have been able to see the access stairs in the 40+ pictures on the website.

Excellent location. Picture window dirty. Kitchen cabinets and stove dirty upon arrival. Sand all over patio and on bottom of jacuzzi. Bed’s were great. For an eight day stay for this large of an apartment believe there should have been more toilet paper and paper towels provided. We had to provide some of our own. No beach chairs, umbrellas, etc provided.

Great beach house!

The house was well cared for and very clean. Loved the access to a beautiful beach. Kids had a ball in the waves. Loved the location close to town and shopping. We mostly cooked or brought in food. Family trip

This is one house split into 2-3 units. The doors are a bit confusing but easy once you figure out. No issues with hearing your neighbors except that the garage is shared so hopefully you have kind neighbors that close the garage to keep all of your cars safe. We parked on the street one night and got our car broken into so don’t leave anything valuable in the car. House was clean and well stocked. Nice view and good beach access. They only provide one towel set per person so bring extra or plan on doing laundry. There is a washer and dryer in the unit.

Spring Break Beach Trip

We enjoyed our time in this vacation rental. It is literally on the beach and the beach is a wonderful, family friendly spot. The two issues were that the washing machine was broken upon arrival and in the downstairs unit there was a squeeking noise that persisted when people in the upstairs unit used the sink. It was annoying especially at night.
Otherwise, everything was wonderful and the house is great.

Fabulous Thanksgiving Getaway

This property management company was professional from start to finish. Communication was timely, prep emails were sent in advance of our trip and they even helped us over the phone when the door wouldn’t unlock for us on site. In addition, they followed up during our stay to make sure everything was going well. Myself and my family were so impressed with the stellar location of the beach house, the condition upon arrival, the kitchen and bath amenities and the room accommodations. We stayed in the B and C suites of the beach house. B suite had 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. C had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The A suite was above us and was even larger than our suites. All rooms had attached bathrooms and the beds were very comfortable! Bath towels and beach towels were provided for all guests. We stayed for thanksgiving and the kitchen was fully stocked making a meal at home during Covid quarantine so easy. We have family who lives in Carlsbad and they were even impressed with the condition, accommodations and location of the property. The views of the ocean from the property are rare to find for the area and only available in this area of carlsbad. All of the suites have a main private staircase to access the beach along with separated patios which each contain seating, fire pit and hot tub. It’s also walking distance right into Carlsbad Village where you will find restaurants, shopping, a book store and coffee shops. We walked to Starbucks each morning. Hands down we would stay with this property management company again as well as at this specific property.

Great location, not so great customer service

My family and I rented this great house for a long weekend. The house is actually 3 units with the bottom 2 making up the 6BR, 6.5 baths we rented.

We paid a lot of money for an early check in (only 2 hours early FYI for $300) and upon arrival we were unable to access the property. I called the help number 4 times before I got a human and not an answering machine. She tried to remotely reset the keyless entry, unsuccessfully, and told me she filed a work order. I would receive a text when someone was coming. No text and no person came. I called back. Someone showed up 2 hours later. they couldn't' fix the system all weekend so we were given a key to a downstairs door. The next day someone called me to ask how our check in went and if we wanted to pay for late check out. Pretty terrible communication. I had to get the refund for the early check in from Air BNB as it has been really difficult to communicate with the property management company.

I also emailed before we arrived to ask if we would be able to use the beach at the property as the beaches are closed. They wrote me back that we would be able to access the beach in front of the rental. But when we got there the police kicked my 9 year old daughter off the sand.

The house is great, the management company not so great.

We have rented this home multiple years now and continue to be impressed with both the rental unit and the management company, BeachFront Only. Every year we find the house updated with some new furnishings/decor and restocked with essential supplies. And as always, the location can't be beat. This year we had an issue with the door locks. BeachFront only sent someone over to fix them right away and followed up multiple times to make sure they had been properly fixed. We will definitely return again for our next family trip to Carlsbad.
