This charming beachfront rental unit is a part of a duplex that sits on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, located in beautiful North County San Diego, where the weather is pleasant all year long. This gorgeous rental is fully furnished and professionally decorated, with every necessary amenity. This rental has stunning ocean views all along the west side of the house, with an oceanfront balcony off of the living room and kitchen. There is also a private lanai in the front of the house with patio furniture and a fire-pit.

Great Location

Be WARNED the bathroom in the primary suite in NOT good. The shower is terrible. You can barely fit in the shower it is so small. The rooms are just ok. The common area / kitchen is great. The rooms / bathrooms all need updating.

Location was amazing. Views were incredible. The common area downstairs was very nice as was the kitchen. The bedrooms and the bathrooms were disappointing. The shower in the primary bathroom is basically unusable. I had to shower in the other bathroom upstairs. The timers on the fans and small a/c units were a little annoying but we figured them out. Wish there was more information about how to utilize some of those items. Otherwise an enjoyable long weekend for my family and I.

Wifi was not good, had to go to the street out front to make a call or send a text.
We had 9 people staying in the house which is max number. The staff contacted us the second evening we were there and said we were too loud, so we were quiet. The next day, we were at the beach below(no service) management kept text me that we had cars parked in neighbors driveways (we did not) they said we had a complaint about loud music (we did not play any music). Then that evening they said we were loud again, we were just watching a football game. Frankly I felt harassed on Saturday and due to that, I was unable to enjoy my day because I was constantly trying to find somewhere to text back. We paid our fair share to be there, I don't appreciate being bothered all day when we were not doing anything wrong.
Although the location was beautiful, we will NEVER return to that rental!!! Very unfortunate, we could have referred many people, but will now make sure that they don't book there.
We love Beachfront only though, we have used to book other trips and they were great!

Overall, we had a great time. One of the showers did not work at all. We never called Beachfront maintenance, as it didn't impede our daily routines. The shower in the master bath is very, very small and not acceptable at these rates. The folding doors would benefit from some WD40. Beds were great; towels etc. very nice. Great views; ample, appreciated parking!!

Spectacular View!

The photos of the view from the balcony don’t do it justice! It’s such an amazing view- so nice to sit outside and watch the waves come in. We loved everything about our stay. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and immaculately clean when we arrived. We got an early check in which was great. Birthday Getaway

While the outside of the property needs a lot of love, the inside was everything I was looking for to celebrate my birthday. The view is exceptional and the unit has everything you could need. The rental company has outstanding customer service and the unit itself was incredibly clean. My only criticism is that if the other unit is occupied outside privacy is a problem. While it was fun to have the guys reunion screaming happy birthday to me at 10 p.m. my kids were wondering what was going on :). Amazing ocean views

House could sleep a lot of people. We had 11 in our group. Kids enjoyed the hot tub. Adults enjoyed the ocean views and ocean sounds. Fell asleep every night to waves crashing. Saw dolphins and seals daily. Easy walk to beach. Rented surf boards and boogie boards. Loved Encinitas!

Great location, awesome view and plenty of room. The shower in the master bath is basically unusable (3’x 3’) for an adult size person. The others two showers needs faucets repaired for the water temp setting. One bedroom has bunk beds instead of a queen bed as pictured. Overall it’s a nice place and we’d stay there again.

It’s a decent rental, nothing is perfect. The master suite shower is extremely small and the water pressure in the downstairs shower was horrible. Bathrooms can be updated and kitchen knives. Was not impressed by jacuzzi. We felt very lucky that the other renters were great! So glad because if your out in your balcony that could be awkward. TV set up in the living room is not in an ideal spot with seating arrangements. Also I feel the floors could have been cleaned better. I know it feels like complaining but we did overall enjoy our stay just want to be honest about some of the stay. One more thing considering we were on vacation we felt a little stressed about noise after dark we weren’t having a party or anything like that but just playing games with our kids, felt like we couldn’t even laugh.

Leucadia Condo

The location of this condo cannot be beat -- right in downtown Leucadia and near the Beacon's Beach Access. The condo was not 100% what we were expecting from the pictures. A little more run down and dated than advertised (the refrigerator was literally falling apart which we let them know about upon check-in) but the view of the coast and ocean was just as pictured which was very nice. One downside that you don't notice from the pictures is that another very large condo is right underneath you and their back porch is literally right in front of you when you look outside so it is not very private if you want to hang outdoors on the porch. When we arrived they were having a large party with beer pong and lots of cans and cups everywhere with loud music so it tainted the beautiful view until they checked out later in the week. Having 4 bedrooms was really nice and 2 of the 4 had nice large TVs in them. The wifi was in and out throughout our stay which we let management know and after a few hours they fixed the issue. If you are going for location and view and can overlook that the place is a little rundown this is your place.

Amazing Stay in Lovely Leucadia

We had an absolutely magical stay at this oceanfront home. We couldn’t wait for every day for the next beautiful sunset. The property management was very responsive and quick to resolve any issues. Be prepared for the very tiny shower in the master, but at least there is an en suite which is nice. The kitchen is nicely stocked and we were able to cook plenty of yummy meals with the appliances. Would be nice to have a Keurig instead of Mr. Coffee!

Beautiful Beach Property

The home was beautiful and spacious! It had so many amenities, but the best part were the accordion doors that fully opened to the beach view! They let all of the fresh, ocean air into the home and every sunset was beautiful! The neighborhood is friendly and there a many small shops and eateries nearby! The whole family loved it!

Best oceanfront view!!!

The views from the home are amazing. The comfy furniture and gorgeous fireplaces in the living room make you never want to leave. The bathrooms leave something to desire as they are outdated and there is no place to put your things. Some hooks and shelves that are corrected installed would go a long way. The location is awesome on a residential street with close beach access and walkable to cute restaurants and coffee shops.

Amazing views, great location

This property is STUNNING. The views alone make it all worth it! The rooms and spaces were clean, the property had everything we needed, and it is in a fantastic location.
A few notes: the bedroom with two full beds (bunk beds) is extremely small.
When we arrived there were no fire alarms for some reason! However the company sent someone over immediately - great service.
And finally, this is an upstairs unit that overlooks the outdoor space for the unit below. The first group who rented the unit below partied all night long (didn’t bother us!) but we got a noise complaint. We had to clear it up with the company that it was not us. The second group smoked outside all the time in which made our place smell terrible. The sole reason for renting this unit was for the gorgeous view, so having to close all the doors and windows to prevent smoke smells was a bummer. You can REALLY see each other in both units outside, which is kind of odd. Overall though we still LOVED this property.

Wedding weekend

We were a bit disappointed. The floors were filthy and the rooms were tiny. The smoke alarms went off at 3:00am one morning and maintenance didn't come back at take care of things until the next afternoon. The view was spectacular and that was our saving grace.

High school graduation vacation

We had plenty of room for our family of 12! We had a beautiful view of ocean and enjoyed watching the surfers, Encinitas had plenty of coffee and dining places. The beachfront home way on top of cliff it was in June and the whole time it was hazy, no sunshine, there was no sand and beach for children. We drove to Coronado. Otherwise it was a good family get together.

Lovely Weekend!

We rented this place to attend a family wedding in a nearby beach town. There were 6 adults, but the house easily could have accommodated more. The open floor plan on the first floor, all facing the ocean, was great for having meals and visiting. The sliding glass doors actually opened up completely for that indoor/outdoor living! Absolutely terrific! The kitchen was well furnished with dishes and most kitchen tools. I always pack my own knives, just in case, and I was glad I did. Although they had a well stocked knife block, the knives were not sharp at all. The bedrooms were good size and we all thought the beds were comfortable. Lots of comfortable seating inside and in the patio.

Can't Go Wrong`

The house is as lovely as it looks, great location, well appointed with all one needs for a great family/group vacation. The only criticism is the master shower is the size of a phone booth which was uncomfortably small and very hard to maneuver in. Otherwise, the house was perfect and the ease of the coded entry made it that no one needed to worry about a key, etc. With the easy walk to the south for the trail down the sand you couldn't ask for more!

Wonderful beach weekend with friends

The house is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The view is absolutely incredible, and we were able to walk to a beach easily. We found everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen. Loved that there were restaurants and bars within walking distance. Would love to visit again someday 🙂

Beautiful place to stay, loved the house, lots of space for everyone to sleep.
Only thing is there was a photos of a gate which I thought we could walk down to the beach but its not useable. Walk is about a quarter mile away so not bad but that was the only thing i was disappointed about.

Fabulous California Beachhouse

A few Clarifications

Overall, this place is amazing. Great location. Good setup. However, the photos make it appear that the house is closer to the beach access then it really is. It's actually about 2-3 blocks away. It's also scaled for massive groups so there's a feeling a little more of a surf retreat place rather than luxury property -- lots of tacky signs posted for noise requirements, where things belong, etc. Also, there is not a garbage disposal. Not a deal breaker but definitely something to be cautious about.
Neither of the two bathtubs hold water on their own. We had to put a cap in one in order to give my baby a bath. Heads up if you're counting on a soak. The parking warnings are not the case. The place is surrounded by public, street parking. It's clear there's parking issues in this prime beach location, but there was not a single no parking sign on the street.
The customer service is good, however. We needed a new can opener and they had one dropped off a few hours later on a weekend.
Neither of the two bathtubs hold water on their own. We had to put a cap in one in order to give my baby a bath. Heads up if you're counting on a soak. The parking warnings are not the case. The place is surrounded by public, street parking. It's clear there's parking issues in this prime beach location, but there was not a single no parking sign on the street.
The customer service is good, however. We needed a new can opener and they had one dropped off a few hours later on a weekend.

What a view!

What a great time we had at this beautiful home. Beach views along the entire west wall. The furniture was comfortable. The house was very clean and provided everything except for toothpaste. I rent a few homes each year. This one will be hard to top.

80th Birthday celebration

My family consisting of adult children and grand kids spent the weekend at this beach front home located above the Pacific Ocean. The view was spectacular and the living area perfect for small groups to enjoy different activities. We huddled around the dining room table for games in one living area and on the other side of the room several watched the TV screen and/or engaged in conversation. We did not cook during our visit. We served lots of finger food, brought in pizza and toasted bagels for breakfast. The knives were useless for slicing the bagels...I wondered how hard it would be to cut steak. If you're planning on bar-b-quing I'd suggest you bring your own. I highly recommend a coffee shop called Coffee Coffee as their coffee was delicious and located a short distance from the house.

The view from the house is unbelievable. You are right on top of the ocean. It is about a 5 minute walk to Beacon's Beach where there is a lot of great surfing.
We had the place full with guests and there still seemed like enough room for privacy. It's an easy walk to restaurants and coffee shops in the area.

Side-by-side condos right on the beach!

My siblings and all of our children had gathered from out of town for my eldest daughter's wedding nearby. The condos are exactly as described, with wondrous, expansive views of the ocean from either of two outdoor patios or from anywhere within the indoors spaces connected to the patios, due to large picture windows and floor-to-ceiling accordion-style doors that fold out of the way. Both condos are very nicely appointed, from the kitchen to the bedrooms. You will NOT be disappointed!

2018 Reunion

When we arrived the downstairs trundle bed had a fitted sheet with a top sheet folded on top. I called. they apologized and offered a $200 discount. However, they then called back to say this is how they make the trundle according to housekeeping. No pillows, no blankets you need to find them and make your own bed. The pictures on your site show the bedroom differently. Same room, the lamp was broken so no light. They did bring a second light, but how they handled the bedding situation was not very professional. Perhaps you could make the top of the trundle and not tell me you make your own bed. Other than that incident, the house was very nice.

We do not make the trundle beds fully because they do not fit back into their spot with the blanket and pillow on there. We have found that some guests do not use the trundle and would prefer that it is put away on check in rather than out and made. We have updated this unit and are getting new photos. EO Professional Retreat

The house was well located and had a lovely beach view. The rental agency was very communicative. However, the house's bed configuration was different than advertised on Air BnB. This was a problem for us as we had 6 professionals who were expecting their own beds. When we put one person on the couch, there was no bedding to be found. One other issue was there were no basics in the cabinet, like sugar for coffee. I run 3 guest units and keep them stocked with coffee and sweetners. I'd suggest this as a simple benefit for your guests.

Amazon and Breath taking!

Amazing and spacious !! No a/c and it was a hot California weekend ! No beach access and wasn't aware there was a rental underneath us, the neighbors weren't aware either , thank goodness they were cool neighbors . Had everything we needed except the coffee !

Home away from home with a view

We stayed on beacon beach with 5 adults and 3 children age 4 and under. The home was perfect. The layout was very accommodating with plenty of room for everyone. The management did a great job with having everything labeled and easy to locate.
Hot tub was very hot and a nice place to relax in the early morning or evenings. I loved the master suite upstairs with the private balcony and fireplace. It was very spacious with amazing views.
The only negative is that while the access to the beach is only a block away, it's a pretty long, winding, sandy trek to get down to the beach. With 3 little kids and carrying all out beach gear, it became quite cumbersome. If you have young children or disabilities then beware of the limitations with beach access.
Having said that, we will gladly stay in another rental with this management company and will probably look at some options with immediate beach access.

Good experience.The view is fantastic. Unit clean, kitchen well stocked, plenty of room, easy walk to restaurants. Biggest issue, no direct beach access. The ad is very misleading, you get the impression there are stairs leading from the unit to the beach, in fact it's about 15 houses down to a public access. We were unaware the unit is a duplex accommodating other guests. Very small patio on the side of the unit. The 4PM check in is a problem, no flexibility by management.Need sundries, shampoo,conditioner, more than 2 bars of hotel sized soap.

We have rented from this company in past years for our family vacation and it never disappoints. Beautiful location, excellent facility, and helpful management staff. The location is near good restaurants, and an easy drive to events (we went to the zoo). Also an easy commute to and from the airport. If you are going to be in the San Diego area, this is THE place to stay!

Nice Beach Vacation

We enjoyed our stay in this rental and felt it was very roomy. It is located on a hillside above the beach. The views are very nice and look right down on the beach. There is no direct access to the beach from the unit but there is public access about a block from the unit. This is a duplex with both sides being rented by the same company. This was not a problem. Entrances to the units were well separated. Parking is available off the street and behind a gate with a partition separating the parking allocated for each unit. Shopping and restaurants are close by. We found a WalMart within a couple miles of the property. There were minor issues with the cleanliness and condition of the property but nothing that would keep me from staying here again. The units are owned and managed by a company with lots of rentals and although the staff was courteous and helpful they were less flexible than other places I have rented. Overall I can recommend this as a nice place to stay.

Everything was great except one thing

Great trip. Great weather. Great facilities. Everything was wonderful but....... The next door neighbor is a total whack job. We don't play loud music (or any music for that matter)and all kids are in bed by 8:00 p.m. +/- but we would like to enjoy the patio area for evening conversation after 9:00. But evidently that is now against the rules? WTF? That is a pretty big deal. We pay a lot of $ for the privilege of being beach front so being forced inside a stuffy house just after sunset seems outside the bounds of reasonableness. But after the first night we managed to keep it all indoors. We tried to have a sense of humor about it or else it could have put a real damper on the vacation. Doused with a water house? Beamed with a laser? Police apologizing for having to show up? Calls from the City apologizing for their enquiry? Rental employee also showing up and apologizing for checking out complaints? It is obvious that the neighbor is readily known for his O.C.D. behavior. However, when he is caught inside our gates in the early morning with a camera it becomes over the top. A Peeping-Tom taking photos of people showering? A creeper spying on our kids? Totally weird. We will definitely have to have a conversation before we decide to rent next year.

Nice Encinitas Rental for Able-bodied Individuals

Rental was nice with amazing views. It was clean and only minor wear and tear on furnishings. I was taken off guard with the distance to walk to make it to the beach. There are 4 pretty steep switch backs to navigate. It would be beneficial for this property to be described as best for Able-bodied Individuals because had we brought an elderly person he/she may not have been able to enjoy the beach. Otherwise, no complaints at all and we would rent here again.

Oceanside bliss

We rented this home for four days in May. Our party included five adults and two children and this house proved to be absolutely perfect for our needs. The first thing that strikes you before you even walk through the front door is the ocean view, which you get a tantalizing glimpse of through the window. Nothing but sweeping sea views from the decent sized balcony off of the main living area. The master bedroom also boasts a good sized balcony with even more spectacular vistas. We spent a lot of time on the balcony looking for dolphins and whales (we saw both) and simply enjoying a glass of wine as we watched the lovely sunsets. The house is conveniently located near shops and restaurants - the main street of Encinitas is just a few minutes drive. San Diego is about a 30 minute drive, so close enough to see the sights, and we didn't find the traffic to be much of a problem, even during afternoon rush hour. It was wonderful to have our seaside oasis to come back to after a day of sightseeing in San Diego. The house was clean and comfortable (maybe a tad dated, but not an issue) and the kitchen is well equipped. The kids loved the hot tub and the adults loved the large ocean front windows, which allowed for wildlife viewing even when indoors. The nearest beach is just a short walk. We would absolutely return and highly recommend to anyone seeking an ocean view getaway.

Breathtaking views !!

As soon as we walked into the house the view of the ocean from the open window setting took our breath away. We loved every part of the house. It was comfortable, tasteful and very cozy. The hot tub was an added bonus. It felt amazing way to relax in it after hours of fun on the beach. It was so much fun cooking in the kitchen while looking at the ocean and feeling the ocean breeze. We sat up in the balcony in the upstairs room and saw shooting stars one of the nights. It was amazing. It was a very pleasant experience booking with Beachfront even though we made a last minute booking because Brianna took extra care of us. She is great! And Kevin who was helping us with all our calls on the weekend was specially patient with all that we needed. Thanks so much.

Long Weekend Wedding Trip

The unit was clean and the kitchen area was large enough for the 17 of us to eat dinner which was very nice. It was very well stocked. Those of us sleeping there (7 - 2 couples, 3 children) had enough room with the 4 bedrooms, but had the other couple/1 child come, as originally planned, we would have been tight. The breeze through the house was wonderful and especially in the master bedroom. However, the shower in the master had very low water pressure, and with 3 children we needed all the showers working well! The patio was certainly not large enough for the number of the people who could sleep there to comfortably fit for an outdoor social time and the covered patio in front of the condo had no breeze while we were there. We were too busy with the wedding events, however, to have time to use either. The walk to the beach was not bad, and the view from the balconies was spectacular. Washer and dryer worked well.

However, we realize now that we would prefer a beach house on the beach with beach access rather than on a cliff overlooking the beach. Of course, this has nothing to do with the rental. Family beach house vacation in Encinitis

Our family of five adults and one child had a delightful time at this rental in August. The house was perfectly located for spending time at the beach. We had no trouble managing the pathway to get there. The view from the house is breathtaking -- surfers and dolphins from dawn to nightfall. We found many very good places to eat within walking distance and cooking and cleaning up were easy with the large kitchen. Hopping on the freeway to get to San Diego, Coronado, Julian and a Padre's game was easy.We were fortunate that the other unit of this house was vacant for the first six days of our stay. The rental company was helpful in directing us to the overflow parking spot though when we used it for a few hours one afternoon an unpleasant note was left on our car. We would definitely consider a return visit. Thank you.

I don't really write reviews, but since we had a great stay, I've decided to write one for this property. The place was spotless and the view is breath-taking!! Every morning we would see dolphins swimming in the ocean. My only problem is that they have closed their "beach-stair-access" So we had to walk around to get to the beach which is fine for me, but It was a family vacation and my mom wasn't able to go to the beach because she has plantar faciitis and couldn't walk that far 🙁 I Hope they can fix that. Other than that the place is almost perfect! 🙂

Eight of us wanted to "get away" for New Years. After spending some time checking out our options I contacted Beach Front Only and they suggested the beautiful Encinitas location. It was perfect. Close, clean, enough room for eight friends to spend time together. We walked the beach, shopped, golfed, relaxed. It was just what we needed. Great Beach house for wedding weekend

I booked the house for my family to stay in for my wedding week. They loved the location on bluffs next to a surf break. I ended up staying myself almost all week as well due to the easy access to catch waves every morning. Property is in good shape and great location. I would stay again in a hearbeat.

This was the most relaxing vacation we've ever had! To be greeted each morning with a 180 degree ocean view of the Pacific along with dolphins swimmining by and ending each day viewing a stunning sunset with the cozy fireplace taking the chill off... this is the life! We were planning our next visit way before this one was over.

This stay was a real treat for me and my boyfriend. The views are unbeatable...we spent the days just sitting by the fireplace (there's actually 3 of them!) and looking out at the ocean. The master bedroom is my favorite room in the home. 3 stories up, it feels like you are floating over the ocean. Waking up to that view is pretty amazing. The unit was extremely clean, well stocked, and perfect for our weekend getaway. Encinitas/Leucadia are great little beach towns. We walked down to our favorite coffee shop, Pannikin, and for dinner, dt old encinitas is just a minutes drive with a ton of restaurants. The weather was stormy, but it made for a great excuse to stay inside and enjoy the home! Thank you beachfrontonly!

Beautiful Home and location

This house was exactly what we wanted for a relaxing week off. It sits high above Beacon Beach and offers great views of dolphins, surfers and the ocean. Beach access is down the road about 900 feet (the stairs off the back porch no longer exist). A relaxing home away from home! Will come again!

The house was extremely comfortable, but we could have used an additional TV in one of the king bedrooms. We also we unable to get the fire pit to work. The view from the kitchen/living room was magnificent especially when the dolphins were leaping and swimming with the surfers! Great family spot!
You can call our helpful maintenance staff members who would be happy to walk you through working the fire pit, our staff is also on hand to come by and assist you if needed. Thank you for your feedback!

Lovely property

We really enjoyed our stay here.Stephanie(hope I got the name right) the person I dealt with to get all the formalities squared away was fantastic.The property was wonderful.The view was priceless.I would recommend Beach front rentals to anyone.

Great Ocean Views!

Everything was perfect. My family got together at a spectacular location. The only negative I can remember, is that the hot tub was not as hot as it could have been. But overall, everyone enjoyed our stay and location!

The view was unbelievably beautiful but the house itself was also great. The layout allowed for privacy but also had room for visiting with family & friends. Everything was very clean & well kept. I would highly recommend this house!

Great Weekend Getaway!

Family Vacation - 5 adults

Fantastic views every day from decks. Watching surfers and dolphins was a bonus. Would have loved to have had the hot tub on side with view instead of in back between properties. Another setback was access to beach. We had difficulties getting everyone to beach without stair access. Property 1084 has very large lower level outdoor/patio with hot tub. This property has very small patio but has decks facing ocean. Inside is very well stocked, nice kitchen/dining area. Bedrooms are adequate, limited closet space. Master bath shower is very small with light water pressure. Others are fine. Nice to have washer/dryer onsite. We used the gas fireplace in the cool evenings which was very nice. Furniture is very comfortable throughout unit. Location was great as we found several local family restaurants we enjoyed each day. Having a GPS that we brought was a huge advantage in getting around this quaint area. Overall, we had a great vacation and would do this again!
If you need a property with more direct beach access, please contact our helpful staff and we would be happy to place you in a better fitting property! The jacuzzi sits in the courtyard so that you are able to enjoy a spacious & relaxing view. We appreciate your helpful feedback.

Beautiful beach-cliff home with master bedroom fireplace problems.

We had a February family get together at this beach bluff home. The large, open living and dinning room areas with two fireplaces allowed us to enjoy ourselves inside while the stormy weather, with rain and wind raged outside. The views were breathtaking.
* The only let down was that the master bedroom fireplace did not work. We were looking forward to a romantic fire each evening to warm up the bedroom and hold out the stormy weather. When we reported it to the management company, the maintenance man was quick to respond, but could not make immediate repairs. We were informed that the owner knew of the problem. Why was it not fixed and why were we not informed of the problem.

We had a wonderful week!

We couldn't have been happier. We had 6 adults and 3 kids, 5 and younger, staying at the house. The way the house is split up we never felt crowded. There was room for one group to watch TV, another to play cards, and another to read or check their email. The weather was perfect. We viewed surfers everyday from the windows and watched the dolphins playing in the surf. However, to get to the beach you have to drive 1.5 miles or walk. Since it was easy to get on I-5, we never had trouble going places. The hot tub worked perfectly, as did everything. My only complaints, and they are minor. 1-Had to unplug and replug in router to stay on internet. 2-Lighting could have been a little better, maybe a couple of lamps. Overall, we were very pleased and would rent again.
