Our quaint beachfront units are directly on the beach, with no roads between the rental and the ocean! This NEWLY REMODELED Charming beach rental has been upgraded with new tile and a modern vanity in the bathroom, new flooring in the entire unit, and more! This unit features a private deck with stairs leading straight to the shared beach area! Catch views of the stunning California sunsets without having to leave your rental! There are 5 units in the complex, and they all share a patio area, and semi-private beach with a bbq grill. Each of the units has a full kitchen with all cookware and utensils, microwave, dishwasher, and stove. This unit includes a wall ac for those hot summer days. Relax and unwind at the beach!
Explore the coast and visit The Buccaneer Cafe within walking distance of the unit. Right across the street from the cafe you'll find a small local beach.

Beautiful beach house

Very nice place, right on the water, and right next to the Bucaneer Park Cafe, which has the best breakfast tacos ever. House is a bit old and the pet deposit is crazy expensive, but it is right on the water, and the management company is quick to answer any questions, or help in any way.

we had perfect weather and the location was great. My only suggestion would be to check the deck rail and stairs as the railing seems to be leaning forward and the stairs down to the first level are also crooked. In the bathroom, the top to the shampoo and conditioner had mold on it and smelled like bleach when it came out of the dispenser. Furniture and all kitchen supplies were great. Plenty of room for us. Thank you!

We simply had a great time. The apartment was clean, had everything we needed, the kitchen well stocked, plenty of bedding, comfortable beds, large fridge and freezer. The staff at Beachfront were superb. Kind and friendly and helpful. Simply no complaints.

We had a blast. The only drawback was the beach -- the rock makes it pretty difficult to get down, and stepping on the smaller stones hurt a lot, and it was generally only workable during lower tides. Obviously there's not much you can do about that, though.

The cleaning crew did an excellent job. Not a speck of sand on the freshly cleaned floors. The furniture was comfortable, clean, and beach appropriate. The amenities were mostly well stocked, although I would have preferred coffee pods instead of spices which tend to get a bit yucky in the humidity. It was clear that it was newly renovated which was very refreshing, although some details seemed to get missed (caulk, paint touch ups, and overall attention to detail). And there were some noticeable areas that might be typical for beach property maintenance (rusted closet tracks, rusty/sticky screen door tracks, etc.) which I didn’t really mind because the location makes up for it. The planter under the balcony could use some clean up. The grassy patch there was a very useful spot for my dog to use because I wanted to keep her from using the sand as much possible out of respect for others and children in the sand. We left the place immaculate and I would have appreciated a refundable deposit option for considerate guests like us (although I realize most probably are not). I did already provide feedback regarding total lack of insulation between floors. I would highly recommend at minimum a no shoe policy for upstairs guests to consider because it was a noticeable reduction in noise without shoes. I also reported some plumbing inconsistencies with water pressure which I did not need solved for myself but should be investigated for future guests. I suspect plumbing was not updated as part of the remodel and water pressure is extremely low either during peak city usage times, or when other units/areas are using water at the same time on the property (laundry, outdoor shower, other?). When this happens, the shower water turns into a trickle and just decided not to wait which was fine for me since I was not in a hurry. A plumber can easily troubleshoot. Staff at Beachfront was very friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. All in all, we had a good stay and would love to come back. Thank you for having us. Steffani and Sadie

The overall stay was good! There is a few recommendations for the condo. The air conditioning unit in the master bedroom is LOUD and needs to be replaced. Also, the shower water pressure is horrible, which makes for longer showers.
There was a soccer team that booked unit 4 and they had a lot of people there with cars and teenagers going in and out. Strong smell of marijuana any time they were there. Not sure if u guys were aware.
Was a good stay just a few little hurdles.

Overall we had a great experience. The wood panels on the back deck had a few loose which was a little worrisome since I had my two kids with me who immediately ran to them to look at the ocean. But after contacting the company they sent someone out who fixed it the next day.

The location was fantastic and just as described. The house had many updates and you can tell that someone took care of providing nice amenities. The only downside was it was not as clean as it could have been. We opened the sofa bed and there was popcorn in it from the previous visitor and the tables needed to be dusted. I would still recommend this place as the staff was fantastic and we had a nice stay overall.

Your staff is exceptional! We were not told that renovations were ongoing. Power tools and hammering were not what we were looking for, although they were minimal. The yard was not cleaned up. Planters had chipped paint and other debri. Construction trash on rooftops that were our view. Thick dust greeted us at our front door. Inside was nice except for missing door trim, painters tape on wall, filthy medicine cabinet and baseboards in bathroom. I would try another property or this one when it is complete, simply because your customer service is awesome. The renovations are very nice, just didn't know that we would be in the middle of them.

Lovely beach cottage

We had a fabulous time at the cottage. When we arrived, we were greeted from a member of your team. The house was clean and had peeve of room. When we couldn\'t figure how to turn in our little fire pit, they were quick to respond. Walking distance everywhere. Our only complaint were the stairs heading down to the beach. There was no railing to hold on to, making it very dangerous. So we didn\'t we even attempt it. We walked down a mile to get into the water. And the early check in was a little pricey. Other than that, it was perfect. Thank you for a fabulous stay. I would definitely return.

The condo was lovely, we spent every night sitting outside on the balcony using the fireplace. The house was wonderful, updated and cozy. The only drawback were the stairs leading down to the beach. It needs a railing to hold on to while going down to the beach, a little too treacherous to attempt the trek. The company was great, they greeted us when we arrived and responded quickly when we had trouble lighting the fireplace. Used the fire pit every evening. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is the second time we have visited this property and we loved it just as much as the first time. The 2 bedroom unit was very comfortable and lots of room. We loved the balcony and stairs out to the sandy patio. Loved that they had an ice machine this year. And upgraded washer and dryer that we didn't have to pay to do laundry. Thanks The only thing I would have liked a heads up on was that there wasn't beach access this year due to the ocean changes. But still it was beautiful and we will return.

Beautiful Ocean Views

I think I got incredibly lucky finding this rental. The description of property, the ocean views, Simi private beach, amenities was exactly what we got. Our unit was immaculately clean which made our stay even more comfortable. The only hiccup we encountered was with Wifi service on our arrival day. Management responded promptly and WiFi was up within minutes. We also didn't have a problem with parking. Even though there are 5 units and only 3 available parking spaces, we didn't have a problem getting an open spot when we took a drive to restaurant and came back. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back!

GREAT location

Beachfront Only is a great management company. Their rentals are always well-stocked and comfortable. This place reminded me why I like to rent from them. The condo has all the right touches. We used the heater every night and everything in the kitchen. i love that we can see the beach from the porch and that we had our own beach area. There was a little gas firepit on the porch that we also loved. It was just enough heat to make it comfortable to sit on the porch and enjoy the morning or evening. I knew we would have to share our beach area with other tenants, I just didn't know how much I would not enjoy that. It was fine, but it's kind of a small area and it shares with 3 other renting groups. In the future I will try to rent one with it's own area. Also, if you're renting this unit, keep in mind that there will be a renter above you and you can hear EVERY move they make. That said, I will definitely rent from Beachfront again.

Our unit, #2, was one of several but the only one with a balcony looking right out at the ocean, just 25 feet from the beach. The unit also looks out at a private sandy area where the kids can play and dig while you're inside the unit making lunch, etc. The unit was very clean and well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable with quality linens and a set of towels for everyone. There's a (coin) laundry unit in the complex as well as a barbeque and a fire ring for smores. The unit has a beautiful beach, semi private, and is not far from a lifeguard tower if you'd rather have your kids supervised by a professional. All things considered, I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a stay on a clean beach only steps away from sand and water. Oceanside beaches are my new favorite.

Charming Indeed!

We had such a wonderful time at this condo! It was clean and comfortable and the beach access was worth it! We often had the beach to ourselves ... there literally is not another person in my beach photos of the kids. The deck/balcony was great to open the doors and enjoy the ocean air. Nice little vacation rental

Very clean, great location, and good experience. Everything we needed was right there. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Only thing we could find that was not satisfactory was the condition of the beds. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, especially the sofa bed. Besides that, and the people upstairs walking and banging around all hours of the night it was a GREAT experience.

Great getaway place

Spent 2 nights over the weekend. Everything was great when we got there. Only concern was maintenance man showing up unannounced at the back door. Other than that it had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was stocked with basics, outside areas were great.

Ideal retreat and rest

Our family stayed in late Oct. and it was great weather. The waves are literally right outside the back door (beyond a small yard beach area and rocky ledge). The Beachfront team was helpful and on top of things, we had no issues whatsoever. It was a very enjoyable stay and I highly recommend it to anyone. Could sleep 4 comfortably in my opinion.

Our first night was rough, the entire shared patio was taken over by 20 people and a lot of them were not staying in the complex. After they left the patio was trashed, my husband and I picked it up the best we could.
There used to be a hose by Unit 1 and 2 to hose down the foot bucket, now there is not. I carried the bucket to the outdoor shower and up the stairs. It really was a pain. After the huge party left, we finally had the quiet beach vacation we enjoy.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, but no hose or easy access to change the foot water was frustrating. I wish that they would bleach out the dumpster too, because it smells awful.

Good Location But Cheap/Inadequate Furnishings

This property is in a good location with a wonderful view of the ocean. There is no lighting over the dining table. I stayed in this condo in 2016 and mentioned it in my review. When going there this year, the problem had still not been resolved. The property manager sent us a floor lamp so we weren't eating in the dark. We don't feel like we should have to live out of our suitcases for a week, so in my 2016 review I also mentioned that there were no dressers or chests of drawers in which to put our clothes. There were still none this year so, as soon as we checked in, I asked the property manager to send us some of this type of furniture. What their interior designer brought us were two sets of four plastic, stacking storage drawers. They served the purpose but were a very cheap fix and were better suited for a kindergarten classroom. The bistro set on the deck is also cheap plastic. When my husband sat in one of the two chairs, it immediately broke and was no longer usable. The livingroom sofa was upgraded from a futon to a pull-out sofa sleeper, which is nice if you need the extra sleeping space. The mattress of trundle bed that slides under the bunk beds is ROCK HARD. We had to buy a foam topper and put every extra blanket in the condo under the sheets to make it even semi-comfortable to sleep on. Property management is quick to respond to reported problems. The property owners are putting inadequate or cheaply-made furnishings into this property. If you don't mind paying a lot of money for that, then you'll be quite happy at this location. As for myself, I expect typical and quality guest conveniences and accommodations for my money.

The property we stayed at was in a great location and just like the pictures. We enjoyed our stay. We would come again. We came during low season so had no issue with parking. In high season I'd prefer a property with reserved parking.
Rachel and the maintenance staff were fantastic! When we had a heat problem they came immediately and ended up putting a brand new heater in. (We had several days of rain and cool temperatures but that didn't keep the kids from enjoying the beach.) Thank you Beachfront Only Properties.

Connect with the ocean in the middle of the city

It was a short, spring break relaxation for the family. We didn't know what to expect as we've only seen pictures online. It was amazingly oceanfront...you can see the powerful waves of the ocean at daytime, but it's also heard during the night. It made us sleep peacefully, no podcasts needed.

Amazing Vacation

A weekend getaway in Oceanside

In general we were happy with the location of the property; the management was easy to contact with. But I think this particular unit is for maximum 7 people, we had 9 people and we found it difficult to manage sleeping conditions. And 9 people to share 1 bathroom is pretty challaging as well.

Great Beach Rental!

Very nice place RIGHT on the beach! If the rock retaining wall weren't there, the waves would come right to the house! While it is cool to watch the waves smash on the rocks, that does present an issue of little to no beach for the kids to play on. However, at low tide, kids CAN go to the beach and play safely. The rental was very well taken care of and the whole experience was easy and very professional, and have NO big list of things to do at checkout was great. The only issue we ran into was parking on the street resulted in a $58 ticket since we missed the street sweeper sign. You will enjoy this rental!

Spring Break 2017

My wife and our 3 small children (3, 5 & 7) stayed here for 4 days during spring break. The rental had everything we needed and after a trip to the grocery store, we pretty much stayed put the whole time. The beach is very accessible and convenient. You can hear the waves so clearly from any room in the house. There is also a nice park near by with playground equipment and a basketball hoop. The kids had a great time and definitely did not want to leave (they picked this beach trip over going to Disneyland!).

Everything was perfect! The ocean couldn't be closer! It was the perfect getaway! My only criticism is please use fresh duvet covers for every guest. it's really gross to use a comforter without a clean cover!

Very nice... Base accommodations nothing fancy which was fine as we simply wanted to relax w family at the beach and enjoy things like a morning coffee while we watched the dolphins swim by... Couple of hiccups w the WIFI and phone systems (needed to stay on the grid) and there was sand in the beds at arrival... But once reported those natters were handled professionally and quickly...

A perfect week with a few tiny snags

Me and my family were there as a small vacation with my aunt. We got perfect weather! I have a few small complaints. There is only one small bathroom for a unit that says 6 can sleep in, that got a little tough to share one really small bathroom with 6 people, also the tp fixture was broken and never stayed on the wall, kinda annoying. They give you towels for your stay but they are kinda cheaper towels and we're not that good for a whole week stay at the beach, because of the humidity they never got fully dry and we always had to dry off with damp towels. Lastly, there were no matts outside the back door leading to the beach, so it was impossible to attempt to wipe your feet off before going in. My advice would be, bring a ton of your own towels, you'll need them for each day at thwork beach and as matts to wipe your feet off unless you like a ton of sand all over your floor all the time. Yes I understand your staying at th beach, but the beach is not supposed to come indoors with you... Also they say that they provide spices in the kitchen, they only give you salt and pepper which were unusable.

Great Beach Getaway

This was the perfect getaway for having the beach as your backyard. The property management staff was very helpful in answering your questions and preparing you as to what to expect when you arrive as well as leave on your last day. The accommodations were ideal considering you can literally walk out of the patio and be on the beach within a few yards. If you love the sound of waves crashing on the shore at night, then this is the place to be. The bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen were clean when we arrived. We were a party of six and one bathroom was a bit challenging but we managed just fine. We read previous reviews and took note of some important items to bring along. If you have as many people as we did, bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, and cloth towels and you will be fine. The rooms are not cleaned every day during your stay thus these items are NOT replenished. Brooms and mops are provided when you want to tidy up especially after enough sand has been tracked in with the number of people we had. We did ask the staff when they were onsite for extra towels and assistance for getting a screwdriver and learning how to use the TV and its multiple remotes. These folks were very helpful in our requests and I'd like to say a big Thank-You to them. We also brought our bikes along which provided easy mobility around town when we did not want to deal with any traffic or limited parking in some areas. All in all, we had a great time and definitely plan on coming back next year to this place.

Great stay!

Awesome experience! Well stocked kitchen, clean throughout, nice location. Good customer service... nice that we were so close to the ocean. Parking sucks, but not much you could change about that. Would have liked a later check out time without paying a fortune... also, would have been nice if a maid came during our stay... being so close to the ocean made for a very sandy stay. Bed sheets were incredibly sandy and had to always sweep the floors. However, not a deal breaker! Will definately use your facilities again!

This condo was truly lovely. The balcony allowed for an amazing view of the beach & ocean. The semi- private beach was small but did have beach toys & bogie boards. The beach was clean. The condo itself was well decorated & clean. We had a great time. There's a small breakfast cafe a short walking distance that was great. Other restaurants & stores are near by. Right on the beach!

This place was right on the beach just like in the pictures. There is a little private beach area and then a few steps down to the beach. The house was great for our family of 4. It had everything we needed and was very clean. It is near everything and very easy to find. My only complaints were there is no designated place to park, but fortunately there were open spots across the street. Also we couldn't get in the unit until 4, even though we requested earlier, and they were still cleaning around the porch area after we got in.

First of all, the BFO app for the phone made arriving so easy. All the information in one place. When we walked in the view of the ocean took us all by surprise, so much closer than the pictures. The condo was cleaned thoroughly and decorated lovely-each touch adding to the overall experience. We cooked at home every night and the kitchen had every pot, pan, and untensil we needed. The best part, besides the amazing view, was that dogs were allowed making our stay truly feel complete. Our family will be staying again soon!
