Everything was easy, both places we rented were good. In the 10 bd place the upstairs game room featured a pool table in the pictures, but there was not pool table. consider putting some door mats on the very bottom floor to the outside yard to keep from tracking sand into the house. There was little opportunity for dim or 'mood lighting' - it was either bright, harsh light or none. This is all picky stuff that would have enhanced our experience if included. On the whole, everything was great and we would come again.

The layout and location of the house were excellent for our group. The house itself could use some TLC and extra care. I know the beach air takes its toll on houses, but there were several cosmetic things that should be addressed given that this is marketed as a luxury rental. For example, the main fridge was dirty on arrival and one of the drawer fronts was missing, a couple of the toilets wouldn't flush, there was caulking all over the stairwell to the lower patio and walls with caulking that should have been painted (they looked unfinished). There were also issues with the garage door and we had to leave it open overnight until a repairman could come. Rooftop furniture was torn and needed a clean. I would rent this house again, for a family vacation, but I probably wouldn't choose to host clients here again. It needs some updates first.

We have stayed at this property before and it is very much run down compared to our first experience. No air downstairs, fridge ice maker broken, hot tub chlorine container broken, igniter broken on fire pit, old shampoo in containers downstairs, walls and furniture in rough shape, vent in dining area destroyed. Also, a bucket by the doors at ocean level would be so helpful for getting sand off of feet before entering property. Staff that tried to assist with issues were friendly, kind and tried to be helpful but were not able to fix the issues. Yet, we loved it. It accommodated our party very well. Thank you. Beautiful property with some care could easily be beautiful once again.

There are many ants everywhere! The ants needed up in my luggage and even water stainless steel water bottle that I took home. The dishwasher never worked until a new one was put in on the last day. The AC didn't work until the 2nd day. The windows need more screens on them to prevent bugs from getting in. There should be more kitchen basics available such as oil, sugar, salt etc. There should be an information binder with codes, location of laundry detergent, how to use garage lift etc.

Always love staying. We are seeing that every year different aspects of the home are changing, there are less cooking items available in the kitchen. The floors are not in the same condition as before. A lot of the furniture meaning couches are beginning to have wear and tear. This year was especially concerning the furniture on the family room floor was wet and unusable. We had to be creative and bring in other furniture. This was really disappointing. We love the location and setting. Genuinely hoping the condition of the property improves as we would love to return. I’ve rented and stayed in the property now for 6 years and stayed at the house 9 times. Thx Doug

Amazing Family Vacation!

This one will go down in history as one of the best times that was spent with my family. The 10 rooms 11 bath beach house was exactly what we needed. The bedrooms were really nice and clean, and all 4 living areas were beautiful and very spacious. The kitchen had all the essentials needed to prepare a gourmet meal. The views through the accordion doors open or closed on each of the five levels were spectacular! Also, hats off to the staff and customer service. Their rapid response to all questions and concerns was amazing. We are already planning for the next stay at another Beachfront property.

There were not enough kitchen utensils and the kitchen, overall, was not well equipped. The absence of a sink waste disposer was very inconvenient. There should be enough supplies (pots, pans, towels, etc.) to accommodate the needs of 22 people. There should also be laundry detergent on-site so it would be possible to wash and dry towels. There were not enough towels supplied for the needs of 22 people over 4 days. Also, some bathrooms had slow draining sinks and in at least one bathroom the sink faucet was loose. We still enjoyed our stay! We appreciate having a home on the beach that can accommodate our big family.

WE appreciated Nanci allowing us to enter the property an hour early and also staying an hour later (11AM) so my granddaughter could finish her Zoom class. Also, when we reported a problem with the dish washer that wasn't urgent we received an immediate response and an offer to fix it right away. The biggest disappointment, because we had 2 six year olds, is that the "sandy" front yard space had no sand, was not sandy, and rather was actually muddy with sandbags around the perimeter. Also, the fire pit was oddly small relative to the property. Otherwise all good.

We had a wonderful week at your property -- exquisite location, lots of space for guests to have privacy AND to gather for meals and social time. And the property management was very helpful. We also great appreciated the quick response upon arrival when the downstairs refrigerator wasn't working -- thank you for the quick fix! A couple of things to note (not complaints, just bringing them to your attention): 1) there is an odd smell on the level that is just below the garage/kitchen level -- strongest in the bathroom, but the entire floor smelled almost like rotten eggs -- it was very unpleasant. 2) there are 2 toasters provided in the kitchen, each having 4 slots for bread for a total of 8 slots. One of the toasters didn't work at all, and the other toaster only 2 slots worked. 3) the towel bar in the bathroom just to the left of the main entrance door is half hanging out of the wall . 4) we had roaches in the kitchen in the first night and second day. We didn't see any after that. Thanks again so much for such a wonderful getaway to celebrate a special birthday!

Spacious but flawed

The house is beautiful, plenty of room for kids to run around and not bother the adults. We did, however, encounter a few problems. Neither fireplaces on main living levels would work, and we could have used some warmth as it was a chilly, cloudy stay. The dishwasher had problems, my husband had to repair a toilet late at night so it would flush. The garage door would not open for an entire evening until early the next morning wen it was repaired. The fire pit is a joke, the flame was a couple of inches high. All items were reported and addressed if possible. When I asked for a partial refund, I was offered a discount on a future stay. Not to say I would never stay here again because I certainly would, butfor the price, you expect all amenities advertised to be in working condition.

Amazing Oceanfront Property

beautiful oceanfront property! we rented 2 side by side houses with 10 rooms each house for a late celebration of our mother's 80th birthday that we originally planned for August 2020 but due to Covid-19, we had to re-schedule to May 2021. each house accommodated 20 guests and there's still plenty of open spaces available! everybody had fun and we just booked another beachfront property for next year! Had recommended the property to couple of friends who saw pictures i posted who inquired about the property.

50th Anniversary Celebration

We rented 2 homes next door to each other and it was absolutely perfect. The kids could use a private walkway to access either house without having to go out onto the street. Triplets 5th Bday!!!

This place exceeded my expectations! The space, the location, the VIEW and privacy was AWESOME! We decided to have our triplets birthday at the beach house this year and we had 6 families that stayed with us. We had so much space and room that there was no way that you can bump into each other. I took my family here for a staycation. The home was in wonderful condition. Plenty of space and each bedroom had a bathroom. It’s a great place for a family

Beautiful beach house!

Beautiful place for a big family vacation. Downside was just the stairs, there was so many 🙂 I had my exercise for sure. When walking down to the beach we did use the next house stairs because climbing those rocks in front of the house is dangerous. Our neighbor told us that it’s private property and we should tell management they should have their own staircase. They didn’t mind us using but figured the amount we paid we should have one which made sense. Upside, it was an amazing view every morning. Love the fact we didn’t have to do the dishes before we left because they do have a cleaning service that took care of all that.

This is a gorgeous property. We fell in love with the house immediately when we walked in and actually ended up adding more time to our stay. This home had ample living space and was perfect for spending days and nights in! We didn’t end up leaving the house our entire trip because we were so happy with the options (from the rooftop area, to the sand and the outside lounge. We will definitely be back again soon. The rental company was easy to work with and all of the information about the rental was emailed in a timely manner and understandable. We give this rental 5 stars!!

90th Birthday Cebration with 4 generations of family

This property was perfect for our family. With 7 children all in their 60s and 50s we needed multiple bedrooms with private baths: the house was perfect for that. The sound proofing was amazing because with greatgrand baby naps and late nights with the 30 year olds and early nights with the 90 year old everybody could enjoy the gathering their own way. The multi level property is great for views, seperation of groups and to fit on the small lot but a bit hard on the older knees in the group. Overall, great time, large meals with plenty of cutlery, plates, and cookware all made for an excellent time.

Wonderful!

We rented this for my 60th birthday. The beds and pillows were perfect. We hosted all our grown kids and Grandkids as well as my Mom. There were 24 of us ranging from age 3 to 83. Since the stairs were a little difficult for my Mom she stayed mostly in the dining room where some of us were at any given time. We brought her some jigsaw puzzles and the kids would help her with that through out the day. She was pleased to find bars in her shower to hang on to while showering. We were quite happy to find 2 coffee pots. We had brought our own Kurig thinking one coffee pot would not be enough but we really did not need it. There is everything you need in the kitchen but a crock pot would be nice. We were able to borrow one from my brother who lives near. We cooked up some bar b que pork for our little luau. The private beach was perfect for little ones. We brought beach toys and were able to relax and visit on the sofas while watching the kids play. The older kids enjoyed the ping pong table. The views from my bedroom was amazing. Falling asleep watching the ocean and waking to the same. We were also able to view the ocean from the shower! We had a difficult time with the lift so someone was sent right over to help us. The roof was perfect in the day to soak up the sun and in the evening for relaxing in the hot tub. This was the most wonderful time and we will take these memories with us always. Thank you for providing a wonderful place for large Families to stay!

Great Easter at Oceanside

We had an amazing time. Weather was beautiful. Our rental house was outfitted with every essential we needed: Dozens of wine glasses and dishes, a wonderful place for entire family to eat at one table. We were very happy with entire experience. Overall, our experience was great! Our attendees had an amazing time and we plan on returning back to this property for future events. My main request is that the corner bedroom with the pullout sofa is replaced with a King or Queen size bed. Our guest in that room (which I believe is called Barnacle, or something near that room) was uncomfortable. If we book 4 more retreats in 2019 at that home, we would definitely need a bed in that room. Thank you for your consideration!

Beach Living at its best!

Overall a great experience as always but I have to say we spend alot of money every year just for the rental and there were two refrigerators not working and one of the umbrellas on the top deck basically imploded. The other issue while maybe not the owners issue but we had NO sand time on the beach which is the main reason we come each year. The tide was high during almost all waking hours and we spend far too much money to have to go somewhere else to enjoy the beach. We have not decided yet if we will return next year we may look at some other options to get more bang for our buck.

Four car garage parking was a bit challenging. Not everyone would be able to use it, or want to take the chance of something going wrong when operating it. So, I would not count that feature as a reliable one for a lot of people.

Beautiful home with lots of room for everyone. Gorgeous view from every level. The home is immaculate and the views incomparable.
The only issue was that we were told we had 5 parking spaces, and then the day before we checked in, we were informed we had 3. It would have been helpful to have that information before itineraries were distributed.
Other than that, everyone at Beachfront was always professional and quick to respond. They were truly wonderful.

Fun holiday

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday at this home. The house was great, with a wonderful beach. We walked about 30 minutes to Carlsbad for a lot of restaurant choices. We went to Legoland (10 min away). The kitchen is great with lots of tableware. The cooking utensils are rather limited. We purchased a can opener and a couple of cutting boards. There were pots and pans but again limited for holiday cooking. We loved the rooftop area and the numerous other quiet places in the house. Enjoyed by all! Parking only for 4 cars, not the 5 advertised.

Third Time and Still a Charm

This was our third year at the same home, because our family reunion group is in love with this place. The really nice thing is, even though it's the same every year, it's also a little bit better. It's big enough for a crowd, but provides plenty of different zones for quieter conversations.
The beds in the ping pong room have been updated, and there are comfy fold-out ottomans in the lounge. The kitchen is so well equipped it managed our capacity crowd for fake Thanksgiving easily. As always, we wanted to take our mattresses and sheets home; the beds are that wonderful. And the beauty of being right on the beach goes without saying. Check in and check out and communication before and after are always professional. We'll keep coming as long as they'll have us. Highly recommended!

Great house for big groups with stunning views

I am a returning renter of this property. It is the perfect place to hold a corporate/work retreat with each bedroom having it’s own bathroom. And the views are breathtaking! The amenities are sparse however particularly in the kitchen. It has the essentials but be prepared to bring all of your own supplies; trash bags, spices, detergent, etcetera. I love the place and would recommend it to any large group.

There are a lot of the basic items to get your started, we also provide a list of items on our website (under what you need bring) that you will need to bring with on your trip which includes saran wrap and foil for left overs. We don't provide maid service so unfortunately we can't provide items that cannot be restocked on a daily basis, ie. shampoo etc, but we do provide some basics items to get you started such a toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags and cooking spices etc.

FAMILY REUNION

This was a family vacation with 20 person which included grandparents, siblings, cousins and 1 great grandson. The home was absolutely beautiful. Not to mention neat and clean. The management company was extremely helpful. This was the first time we had ever rented a place and had the whole family together like that for four days. It turned out exactly like we expected. The home is spacious and everyone had their own private bathrooms. I would highly recommend this home for a large family.

2017 Vacation

Overall it was very fun and relaxing only a few recommendations.
1. On the top deck one of the umbrellas was duck taped to fix it.
2. None of the outlets on the very bottom ground floor worked.
3.The sliding doors were hard to open at time as they would lose their place on the track especially the 2nd floor from the ground.
4. Very few rooms had closets which is disappointing. When I go on vacation I like to hang things up and there was no where for both my husband and myself to hang anything we did not want wrinkled and I really do not want to iron on vacation. My solution to this is any room that has no closet it should have a wardrobe piece of furniture rather than a dresser or both.

This house provided the perfect space for our large group to gather. With 21 of us we never felt crowded. Having 2 large dining tables was wonderful. The house is beautiful, well decorated, clean. Wonderful Family Gathering

Great beachfront location

Loved the view and the beach access directly from the home. No need to walk around the house to get to it. Walls of windows accordion open to enjoy the sound and smell of ocean. Great overall accommodation. Location-Oceanside-is average at best. It's a long walk to restaurants, bars or the market. Four miles round trip to pier. So walkability score is poor.

Great rental - close to legoland

Great house. exactly as pictures show it. we spent most of the time on the middle floor where the kitchen is. wish we had more time there, but was a great place. rooms were great.
The keypad to the garage was broken when we got there and the heating was broken as well. both were fixed immediately.

beware: late checkin at 4pm, and early checkout at 10am. They say they need this to turn the whole house over, and it's a big house. but beware that it is late and early.
only wish they would provide more garage openers than the single one. but not a big deal since they had a code for the garage

Wonderful Trip

There were 17 adults and children getting together for my wife and I for our Wedding Vow renewal. The house was wonderful and served all of our needs. We have stayed in many beachfront rental properties and this was far and away the best. The property had everything we needed and we would recommend it to anybody. One minor issue was there are no lights on the roof where the grill is so it was quite difficult to grill when it got dark.

Even Better the Second Year

This is the second year that we've had our family's annual pre-Thanksgiving reunion at this home, and it was even better than last year. They've added additional washers and dryers and a backup refrigerator in the garage - handy for the large groups that the home accommodates so nicely. The decor has been upgraded just slightly (it was already lovely) and there are plenty of zones for small groups within a big gathering. Beds are comfortable, the linens are high quality, the kitchen is one of the best equipped that I've ever seen in a vacation rental. Obviously, the location can't be beat in terms of proximity to the beach, but south Oceanside has recently seen some wonderful little coffee bars, restaurants and boutiques open in the neighborhood and the house is also easy walking distance to Coast Highway for those. We'll look forward to coming back again.

The check out time is 10am and the check in time is at 4pm due to the fact that most of our beachfront properties are so large (4-11 bedrooms) that it takes time to clean the entire house, clean all of the windows, the outside of the property, clean jacuzzi's, change the linens, etc in order to have it ready for the next clients amazing stay. Wonderful family vacation

Great property. Enjoyed the fold-up glass doors that opened up for panoramic views. More than enough room for all of us. Only criticism is that 2 of the bedrooms did not have any dressers or storage for clothing. No closets. Would definitely stay here again. Had water heater issues that were finally corrected at the end of our stay.

WONDERFUL FAMILY REUNION

This was a beautiful property for us to share with our children and grandchildren. It was apparent that it was designer decorated throughout. Fabulous factility at a great location

Enjoyed this great facility for a multi-generational weeklong family vacation. The house was even better than you could imagine from the great on-line photos. A lot of attention to upgraded details. We have 12 adults and 2 children, 4 yrs and 14 mo.
Everyone had their own bedroom and bath a must for teenagers. So many levels to escape to listen to music, watch movies and beautiful sunsets!

Fantastic!

Our group of 10 loved this place. It was a lot roomier than we had expected, and we made an extra bedroom out of the "media room". We couldn't decide which living area (4 levels of living space including the roof) to hang out in! Very clean and well-maintained and well-stocked. Only complaint is no firepit or hibachi for roasting marshmallows and/or hot dogs on the beach...

Very Nice and Accomodating (even in the rain!!!!!)

The rental experience was good. The accomodations were incredible. The rooms and baths perfect for large groups. Out door amenities were great ( except it rained almost the whole time) Everyone was so comfortable. Little things like...the wrong entrance entrance code, no ping pong balls for the ping pong table, no spatula.(we ended up buying our own) The propane tank in the basement was empty, but when I called the office they sent one over. Overall, it was beautiful, very comfortable, spacious and great amenities. When you are paying the money, things should be near perfection

Oceanside Dream House

We came to Oceanside to celebrated our daughter graduating from Physical Therapy school. Since we had family that were all grown kids with spouses this house was perfect with the many bedrooms. We saw surfers, whales and dolphins right in front of the house. There is a room for every desire and everyone got to do what made them most happy. The gathering spots are perfect with an amazing view everywhere you look. Thank you for your availability when we had questions. The house was beautiful. We all had a wonderful time. I would however like to suggest that there be more blankets, pillows and towels avaliable. We had a few people who didnt have towels and had to borrow form other rooms. And we had a couple of people say the thin throws on the day beds were not enough to keep them warm while sleeping.

Beautiful home for family vacation

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, however... Several things were broken on our arrival. Front door code wasn't working on arrival, only one rooftop umbrella was in working order, garage door stopped working, one bedroom toilet wouldn't flush, propane ran out in the middle of grilling burgers for our lunch. Staff was cooperative and most were fixed promptly.

Stunning Beach house

Amazing location with breathtaking views from every floor and spot in the house! Recently renovated with high quality furniture and amenities- would highly recommend this house to anyone! Perfect getaway

This house was a fantastic spot for a family getaway! It felt so spacious, and was very clean and maintained. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of towels on hand. The kids loved the jacuzzi, and walking right out to the semi-private beautiful beach. We had everything we needed at the house, and it was so close to restaurants and shops. Oceanfront Rental Oceanside, CA

Excellent home. Very clean and very well stocked. Good location and ocean views and sunsets could not have been better. Was extremely impressed at how well the kitchen was stocked. Not always the case with other rentals I have done. There were some maintenance issues such as garage door opener not working and outside lights on stairs to patio not working, but reported all issues and hopefully they will be taken care of. Lights on stairs definite safety issue. Do not consider this beautiful home if you have mobility issues. As for the Property Management Company, started off excellent, then the person I was working with left. Spoke to another lady prior to arrival that was helpful. I had been promised a blow up bed for our stay. When I called prior to arrival to confirm I was told it was not listed on the contract and might be a problem (make sure your contract reflects all discussions and commitments). There are surely a lot of rules on the side of the Property Management Company. I made one phone call to the Property Management upon arrival about the bed not being there. Again, said would try to locate one. As it turned out, they delivered and air mattress (not acceptable) that did not hold air. Never saw, spoke to or heard from anyone upon arrival or at any time during our stay. Any other rentals I have experienced someone always met you at the property to show you around and how everything works. Not really personalized service after the initial sale.
Thanks for your comments, as your experience is important, we've addressed these points within our team. We replaced the batteries in the garage door remote, and have called an electrician about the outdoor lighting. We apologize about the miscommunication on the air mattress, and reacted as soon as you informed us of the situation. We do hope that overall, you enjoyed your stay and have great memories of Southern California.

The perfect beach house!

We found this house last minute and totally lucked out. It was the perfect location for a wedding we attended in Carlsbad, and it is right on the beach!!! My husband and I got to sleep in the Master bedroom. There is nothing like the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. Also, we sat outside late at night to chat and hang out. I was worried we were being a little bit loud, but quickly realized that the ocean is so loud that you can't really hear anyone outside when you are inside. This could be good or bad, depending on whether you want to hear people or not!! The semi-private beach set up is so great. If we had kids, it would have been a great place to bring them as well. We would definitely rent this house again. Oh, just FYI, the gate to the front door is on the right hand side of the garage (a nice glass door with diamond patterns on it). We went through the left side gate and had trouble trying to get in to the house!!

We recently rented this house for the weekend for my brothers bachelor party and it was absolutely incredible. I did not expect this house to be the size it was. Overall it was a pleasure-able experience and I would defiantly do this again. Only downfall is the early check-out. If check out was noon for example, it would be better to get everyone up and out and on time especially for the amount of people that this house may hold.

Awesome House!

Just look at the pictures! What you see is what you get. The house was incredible. Everything was very clean and as described. We had a few transportational issues since the Iron Man competition was going on right on the street of the house, but BeachFront let us know a few weeks beforehand so we could try to plan ahead of time.

40th birthday celebration with family

We had a wonderful time at the property! I had not properly checked what amenities came with the house, so I came without any boogey boards and had to go out to purchase shampoo, conditioner and bars of soap for the showers (there was only hand soap in the bathrooms), but was pleased to have all needed linens, pillows & towels easy to find & of excellent quality. Our friends and family were very impressed & complimented me numerous times on my "great find." We were all impressed with the artwork; all original paintings, no prints. Very classy!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The only problem was that there was no bedroom on the main floor, which made it hard for one of us, since that person could not climb many stairs. They had to sleep on the couch with no privacy, and no shower. There was a toilet room with a sink, so we managed. Other than that it was a great view, everything worked properly except for the outside light.

Overall, very good experience...a couple of suggestions...One, need to clarify that entrance is on North side of property (there are two gates). Minor items...need to fix ceiling fan in upstairs bedroom on street side, as well as fix blinds in that room (one side does not latch in up position); some windows on ocean side do not open well (the ones with round knobs). These are small things...overall, the place was just fine.
