All homes in Oceanside, CA sit behind a rock barrier protecting the homes from storm surges. The amount of sand beyond the rock barrier varies quickly with storms and tides and may have more or less sand than what is shown in the photos.

For your convenience, we provide a starter kit of essential items to get your stay off to a comfortable start. This includes a small supply of dishwashing pods, laundry pods, paper towels, tissues and toilet paper. Please note that these items are provided as a courtesy and are not intended to last for the entire duration of your stay. Guests may wish to bring or purchase additional supplies as needed.

Ran into issues, mostly related to rain. Leaks and having to keep trash in house. Unfortunately we were woken very early morning Sunday with the fire alarm going off. We would get it off and then it would start 5 minutes later....we ultimately released the batteries. This was not an enjoyable way to spend our final morning. We would appreciate some compensation to be considered for this time.

We were not made aware of any issues during your visit, including the leaks, trash concerns, or the fire alarm disturbance. We have since resolved the issue with the fire alarm & your note about having to keep trash in the house was due to the rain.

Maintenance needed

This was our second home that we rented with Beachfront Only. The first house was fantastic, this house, was far from it. I wrote a great review of the first home and wished we would have stayed there again. The photos of this house do not tell the whole truth. For the price you pay for this house, you could get something much nicer. Within 10-15 minutes of being there, the main door on the bottom floor to go out to the “beach area”, broke and we were not able to go outside except through the bedrooms, maintenance did come out and somewhat repaired it. Then they had to come out a second time in order to unlock a door that should have been open already, as it had the broom, vacuum and other cleaning items. Power went out twice in two rooms, we located the electrical panels and fixed the issue. Peeling paint in the house, flooring not installed very well, there is paint all over the glass in the outside areas that can easily be scraped off to look nice. The house is large and fits large groups nicely but overall the company could do much more to make this house worth the money they charge. Very upsetting that I paid over $5k, for something that was not worth it.

The exterior pictures do not reflect the current condition of the rental. The property is pretty tired. The interior was great. The pictures do reflect the the interior. There are a number of beds with footboard, not great for those over 6 foot tall. Lastly, the CO2 and smoke detectors went off our second night on the 2nd and 3rd floors. We need to pull them off the wall. We believe the detectors were malfunctioning and it wasn't the batteries.

The house was great. We were concerned that it would be a hassle to get to the beach, but it was a short drive to the pier, with plenty of parking (on a weekday) for $5. And the sand in the "back yard" was loads of fun for the kids with their shovels and buckets. The company was SO responsive, always answering the phone quickly. For example, I called one night to see if there should be cookie sheets in the kitchen, and they delivered some the next morning!

We loved our staycation, the house was fantastic. We saw dolphins daily, enjoyed big family style meals together and had plenty to space to spread out. The only disappointment was that the hot tub never got hot.

Loved our stay overall but 2 things would’ve made it 5 stars: 1. One, average size refrigerator is not enough to accommodate food for one week in a house that sleeps 22 people. There is room in the kitchen for an additional refrigerator. 2. The mattresses in a few of the bedrooms were extremely uncomfortable. Springs were digging in our backs, as we trued to sleep.

Our rental experience was great overall. We had some problems getting the AC units on in some rooms, which was a bummer since one of the bedroom windows also did not open. The spa also could use a cleaning - some of our staff went in and mentioned it had a small and the bottom felt slimy. The dishwasher is also broken - if you pull the compartments out all the way, the whole thing tips out onto the ground.

Two items of note: 1. The pictures online we saw did not show the rock barrier. Those might need to be updated if they have not been already. 2. We had a hvac contractor in our room when we came back to the house one day without any notice from management. I called to confirm and they said no maintenance was scheduled and I asked to have someone come to handle the situation. I was told she would get with her maintenance manager and she would get back with me. I did not here from anyone. This was concerning.

Great Family Getaway, Great Location, NEEDS Upkeep & Maintenance

The view of the ocean can't be beat. Great outdoor space, and the place accommodated our large family very well! It is nicely decorated, well stocked and set up well for large groups. It was very clean upon arrival. However, we paid a premium 5 star price for a property that needs some serious upkeep. Upon entry-after having no choice but to track in dirt/sand (as it was raining) into the newly cleaned property, we were greeted by a(10"x10"+)two sided slice in the upholstery of the sofa. Damage had previously been whip stitched to repair but had reopened and stuffing was spilling out. Sofa should have been replaced. NONE of the bathroom fans worked properly (most not at all). Many bedroom shades were damaged/did not operate properly. It rained several times during our stay, adequate carpets (to help keep rain/dirt/sand from being tracked in) are not supplied - we had to constantly sweep and towel up the mess at entry doors and deck accesses. The sand area of the property had trash and broken glass left by previous occupants. This is a very accommodating house, but it is not maintained to the standard expected for the price paid.

Overall our stay was great. The management company was quick to respond, the property was clean. My only complaint is that the air Conditioning Unit on the lowest level went out twice. We had someone come out and fix it the first time it went out. The second time we realized it was to late to get it fixed as our kids were going to bed.

Best vacation ever

We had the most fantastic weekend. This home was perfect for 6 teens and 9 adults. The third bottom level was convenient for the kids to hang out. The shaded sun decks were a must. The beautiful doors opening out to the ocean was spectacular. The rental access with all the amenities were at your fingertips. And Nina, the housekeeper and gardner were extremly polite. Everything was spotless. The best vacation ever.

Perfect Getaway!

A family getaway. This was planned in 2019 for March 2020 and the pandemic came and we had to pivot. We were able to cancel our reservation, they gave us a full credit to use later. We rescheduled for the following year same time, same week. What was intended to be a family get together ended up being just that and in memory of a sibling we lost unexpectedly earlier in the year.A beautiful home, great location, all the amenities and lifestyle of being right on the beach.

The Perfect Beach House

I have rented a few times with Beachfront, and this home by far is one of my favorites. There was more than enough space for my entire family to gather.
There are three spacious decks overlooking the ocean and every bedroom has an ocean view. Beachfront Only's staff is always on top of things, just a phone call away but I did not have to contact them at all as everything was perfect! If you are looking for space and privacy I would highly recommend this home!

Great Family Vaction

Great location and home for large family. It was a very nice home and great views. Loved the top floor and kitchen area, great for hanging out together and chilling.
The only reason why not 5 star is lack of washer and dryer. When the tide is down you can climb down the rocks and hang out on the beach, though it is a bit rocky. They only give you one bath towel, so you are re-using same towel since you can't wash anything. Be nice to have some "beach" things/toys to use.

Fabulous... Just Fabulous

Immaculate home, great and responsive service, WAY exceeded expectations...and my expectations were VERY high. The home is right on the water, and the La Cantina doors open up an entire wall to take in the ocean view. It's an entirely different experience compared to sliding or French doors. The entire wall opens up to the ocean. Housekeeping is immaculate and every bedroom in this home has an ocean view. Spectacular home, wonderful experience!

Nice house

We had a hard time getting through the front gate because they didn’t list the code on the instructions. The office was closed when we arrived and it took one 30 min to get a hold of someone. My brother was stuck outside in the cold. Second complaint is the hot tub in the photos was not at the house. We had to call for them to bring us one but it arrived on our last day and we didn’t even get to use it because the water wouldn’t reach temp. The water got hot the next morning but that was the day we had to check out. The house is clean and in nice area. Just a couple things that made the stay unpleasant.
