This is a perfect private getaway for anyone that want an escape from home! The building and condo are wheelchair accessible and the unit boasts beautiful slate flooring, a large kitchen perfect for any cook with granite counters and stainless appliances, a living room with a large flat screen TV, views looking out straight to the beach, an oceanfront balcony, and a private spa. This property also comes with central AC. You will be spoiled after your stay here and never want to leave!

This vacation rental is a home away from home. Each room has character, and everything is professionally decorated. You will find everything you need right in the rental, from beach towels to linens, from spices to coffee grinders and garlic presses. We have stocked the kitchens keeping in mind you might be cooking a Thanksgiving feast. Just imagine all of the memories that will be made on your vacation on the beach! BEACH ACCESS: There is a driveway that allows access to the underground parking between the condo complex and the beach. In order to get to the beach, this driveway must be crossed. See virtual tour to view exactly where it is situated.
All homes in Oceanside, CA sit behind a rock barrier protecting the homes from storm surges. The amount of sand beyond the rock barrier varies quickly with storms and tides and may have more or less sand than what is shown in the photos.

The unit was beautiful, especially the patio. I'd suggest replacing the patio furniture as the seats sag and it's very difficult to get out of the chairs/sofa. Also, the chairs were missing the seat BACK cushions and all the cushions were thin and a bit worn. Providing "throws" or blankets for the patio would be helpful - the heater is a helpful but you have to be close. I'd also suggest providing aluminum foil, saran wrap and having the ice machine already going on arrival (especially in the summer). Lastly, perhaps have guest leave clean dishes on the counter so you can inspect before putting them away. We found serving dishes in the cabinets and knives in the butcher block that weren't clean. I presume previous guests put them away but the company should check everything is clean. Overall the unit is spacious, well kept and enjoyable. Lastly, we didn't receive the gate code for the front gate - in our portal. And the door from the garage to the units doesn't secure/lock. I thought this might be helpful for you to know.

This place was awesome. Only a couple things to note; the spa took an entire day to heat up, so it was disappointing not to be able to use it right away. The elevator broke, but was fixed within a couple hours, the water pressure was horrible in the showers and the sheets were not soft at all. It’s very expensive to stay there. I’d go more often if it was more affordable, but $3,500 for 4 nights is a lot. The set up and view were awesome.

Started out great, then came a rat.

Just to be fair, the view is great. It is wheel chair accessible, which is why I booked this particular place and it is super spacious, has everything you need in a kitchen, in-house laundry and over all nice. But two days in my mom starts to smell something, two days later we found a dead rat. I am not a picky person, got some gloves and disposed of it in a bag. I let management/maintenance know and they offered to send someone to clean but I had already taken care of it. Then my family and I debated about staying. I was uneasy because my father is disabled. Management had offered a late check out for free the day we were leaving (which is only 2 hrs extra noon). Which we really hadn\'t decided if we wanted to stay longer, the night before our last night, the electricity was low, we had no hot water and couldn\'t use any appliances and the heater wasn\'t heating. I did inform maintenance and asked them to walk me through what I could do, which they did for the water heater (reset) but it didn\'t work. I texted them all the other problems that were happening. My main concern was the ac/heater wasn\'t turning on and it was getting cold. We couldn\'t use the space heaters either because again the electricity flow was so low that couldn\'t get any appliance to work. They pretty much said we can send someone in the morning. Then, the electricity went out in the middle of the night. By the next day I was frustrated enough and stressed out and decided we wouldn\'t stay the night we had left and simply packed to leave that day. I can also point out that the furniture outside in the patio looked dirty and the turf had bird poop. We still hung out outside but didn\'t sit on the furniture. I worked in property management before and one thing experience taught me is that a call from management to follow up on a paying tenant can go a long way. No one ever called even after we complained and for the $400 a night that I paid it really felt like no one cared. You could have done better.

The unit was spacious and the view from this 3rd floor location was outstanding. We truly enjoyed or stay.
A few minor notes:
We were swarmed by birds a couple of times each day. This was annoying-- they seem to be roosting on a ledge area of the building just above the sunshade on the balcony. Some would hover around the sunshade-- close to our heads. When they swarmed in we had to run inside and close the wall of windows which was disappointing. Not sure if anything can be done. We would still return and rent again, but the birds were a frustration!
Please repair or fix the refrigerator or freezer. The refrigerator worked fine during our stay, however, water seems to drain out on to the floor periodically. We wiped it up and the frig worked... however, it was worrisome to have water on the floor-- especially as my mom was walking with the use of a walker...worried about slipping. Again, a minor thing, but I suggest a permanent solution be found.
Finally-- Again minor...I would have appreciated a larger saute/skillet pan. The one in the unit is small.
Overall, beautiful unit, accessible management and perfect location.

Beautiful location and very spacious.
We are not very tall and found the height, especially of dryers challenging. A step would have helped. There were some missing items like hair dryers but you were quick to furnish them. so we were happy with good services.

This was our third stay at this location and the first time we have been disappointed in its condition and cleanliness. Outside, the cover of one patio cushion was ripped, the artificial turf on the deck smelled like urine, pigeons roosting on the sun sail are creating a bird dropping problem. Inside, two dining chairs were unusable, there was a great deal of dust on the decorations and ceiling vents, there were crumbs on the table, a chair and in the silverware drawer, there were coffee drips on the cupboards, the bar stools were visibly dirty, there was hair in the shower, the floor throughout was very dirty and a mouse ate from an avocado that was on the island. We appreciated the quick and courteous response of your office staff and cleaning supervisor, as well as the improvements to the garage and gate. We love visiting Oceanside and hope we can return one day to a cleaner, updated rental.

Huge place, amazing views
by RachelOur family spent a week at this place after several years of similar vacations near Mission Beach. This was by far the biggest, nicest place with the best views we have ever gotten in this price range. It was well maintained with comfortable bedding, really responsive hosts, easy parking, a really short drive to Carlsbad and about a half mile walk to a cute pier and beach with two adjacent playgrounds that were perfect for my kids. We would definitely come back!

Responses from management were Addressed quickly including one maintenance issue very responsive. Location of this unit is wonderful! The view is breathtaking! It can be a little walk to get to the beach, especially at high tide.
We stayed for an extended period of time (17 nights) so we probably had more maintenance issues than a shorter stay might have. Although the office staff and text system was helpful, we still waited a few days to get functioning umbrellas for the patio. Other than that, requests were acknowledged and taken care of quickly. The office staff was great to work with!

Huge property with 1 handicap shower/bathroom. Great location, great views, great amenities. I'd DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY, AGAIN. Great for large families or multiple families. Immediate response by management team when contacted about toilet and "fire pit" issue.
Needs to improve: The bed lines are stained and should be replaced. The BBQ is only surface cleaned. There should be binder on how to use TV, certain appliances, etc. The app offers that, but all may not have access. Doors throughout property open and not secure. Neighbors car broken into while parked in garage.

Wonderful Vacation

Even better than the pictures!

This place with the accordian windows open is truly gorgeous! We even high fived each other as we walked just right away felt so relaxing and luxurious. The view was incredible and the house lay out was perfect.
There was no way to sit on the beach even at low tide. Had to walk about 3/4 mile down and even then, it was not a great beach.
The rental company was very responsive to any issues we had.
All it needs is more coffee tables.

Amazing view

Amazing unit. All glass wall facing the ocean. Beautiful updated kitchen. Loved our vacation. Only slight disappointment was that there was no beach area in front of the unit as shown in the pictures (high tide up to the rocky area). Needed to walk .7 mile down to the pier for the designated beach area. But it’s a beautiful walk so not a huge deal. Place was very clean and very well stocked.

As good as it looks!

This is a fantastic place. Newly remodeled, the condo looks as good as the photos. Tall ceilings, good sized family room, beautiful kitchen that is well stocked with utensils, plates, cups etc. The place was very clean.
The crowning jewel is the panoramic accordion windows that open the entire length of the wall onto the large balcony which has a grill and small firepit.
Our family spent many hours on that balcony watching and listening to the ocean, feeling the breezes and even spotting dolphins and seagulls diving to catch fish. So relaxing!
One minor note: each bathroom only has one sink.
The property management company is excellent. Good communication leading up to our stay and they also have a handy app for your phone where they include garage codes and door codes. We called them a couple of times during our stay (broken can opener and we were initially unable to work firepit properly) and they provided very rapid and kind response.
Oceanside is a bit gritty but definitely improving as a community with lots of new restaurants and breweries. Carlsbad is nicer and a very short drive away.
This is a terrific place that we highly recommend.

Absolutely Fabulous Home

This home is perfect for wheelchair access which we needed. The parking spot is close to the elevator which was a big help. The view takes your breath away as does the home. Its new & clean and spacious. The power went out in the area one night for a couple of hours and we sat on the balcony with the fire going. It was a fun evening. Having brought flashlights helped. We can’t wait to stay in this beautiful home again.

Fantastic family fun!

Awesome place! It was so clean and huge! There were 9 of us and we had a ton of room. Had all things I needed in the kitchen. The beds were really comfortable. And the view!!!! Wonderful to sit and have coffee in the morning or cocktails at night- great patio! The managers were great.... we ran out of propane and they brought us new container the next morning. Just a fantastic place!

Great Property and Location for a Family or Group w Amazing View!

We had a great 5 night stay at this property. Our friends also rented another ground floor unit next door. While their unit was beautiful and had some ground-floor advantages, the view from our unit couldn’t be beat. This unit also had a superior view to 908-5 next door as our sightlines up the Stand were unobstructed. Well, except for a beautiful palm tree that made for great silhouette pictures at sunset.
The only issues we had were an elevator that occasionally chose not to work and a passcode lock to the stairwell that 1) we were not given a proper code for (despite all of the codes provided) and 2) that required a twist to set the lock which was not communicated to us, and correspondingly often went unlocked.
All in all, an amazing property at the end of the Strand. If you want to be very close to - but not in the middle of - all the action, I would highly recommend!

Annual Vacation - 10 years w/ BFO

Overall good being the fact that it is 2020 :/ The unit is nice and spacious and the views are amazing as always. The staff is always attentive and quick to fix any items brought to there attention.
The areas that I think need improvement is the 4th bedroom has the least amount of air flow with the window being in the entry area and the only room with no ceiling fan. There is A/C in the unit but if you use the A/C you have to close all the windows and then there goes the ocean breeze and sound of the waves as you sleep. The other issue is the trash, all the cans are located in this room that you can not get to the back of and therefore all the guests just pile the trash in the ones they can reach and once they are full it just overflows. Oh and one last item needing attention is the 2 areas just inside the gate, not sure what they are for but it is very displeasing to the eye, kind of trashy looking.
Over the years the and has disappeared in front of the rocks so just know if you rent anything south f this address you will be lucky to get anytime on the beach without hauling your items down towards the pier or beyond the pier.
BFO has always been amazing and we will continue to return but have definitely learned a few lessons over the years about where we want to stay based on our plans for the week.
The areas that I think need improvement is the 4th bedroom has the least amount of air flow with the window being in the entry area and the only room with no ceiling fan. There is A/C in the unit but if you use the A/C you have to close all the windows and then there goes the ocean breeze and sound of the waves as you sleep. The other issue is the trash, all the cans are located in this room that you can not get to the back of and therefore all the guests just pile the trash in the ones they can reach and once they are full it just overflows. Oh and one last item needing attention is the 2 areas just inside the gate, not sure what they are for but it is very displeasing to the eye, kind of trashy looking.
Over the years the and has disappeared in front of the rocks so just know if you rent anything south f this address you will be lucky to get anytime on the beach without hauling your items down towards the pier or beyond the pier.
BFO has always been amazing and we will continue to return but have definitely learned a few lessons over the years about where we want to stay based on our plans for the week.

Gorgeous condo right on the water

This property is even more beautiful than the photos. It's clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, well laid out,and the panoramic ocean view from the balcony is unbelievable. Our family agreed that it felt like we were in Hawaii. Great management company too - clear communications, professional, friendly. I highly recommend this property. We will definitely be back.

Family Getaway

Overall really great condo. Amazing location and even better views. Very nice having the 3 bedrooms with a bathroom in the room. The 4th bedroom without a bathroom is good for kids or a teen, but it really could use a ceiling fan and darker shades to block out the porch light. Kitchen is very well equipped, probably one of the better ones I have ever stayed at. Did not have laundry or dish detergent stocked like they listed, but we did request and receive the dish detergent (although it took most of the day to get because it required “approval”). Our only complaint/observation is that this is a pet friendly condo-which is great except we didn’t bring a pet and we constantly had dog hair on us. Between the area rug and the sofa you would be covered (did not really find it in the bedrooms thank goodness). Also the artificial grass on the balcony definitely adds to the appeal, but it needs to be deep cleaned. Lots and LOTS of hair and your feet would be dirty in minutes of walking on it. Lastly one of the nights we were there a fire alarm in the empty unit below started going off about 10:30pm. We investigated and no fire or smoke. After about a hour we called the emergency line. They didn’t answer but immediately texted me asking what we needed. I told them the situation and about 30 mins later it stopped. But then started again, I again responded to the text saying it had started again to which they replied they would see if someone was available as they did not have anyone on call after 8pm. Several hours later around 3am it finally stopped. Considering for any air circulation you (and every neighbor around you) have to sleep with the windows open it made for a very long night and very grouchy kiddos the next day. However, overall it is a beautiful condo and we would consider staying there again.

Stunning Beach house!

This property didn’t fall short on the description or pictured that were featured. My family and I needed self isolation and the gorgeous beachfront property lived up to our expectations. The property was very clean, well stocked and the contactless check in went smoothly. This 2,800 square foot property has exquisite views from the panoramic doors and a beautiful open floor plan. Can’t wait to return again, I think I’ve found my forever beach rental.

Almost perfect for large group

No shelves in the bathrooms to hold toiletries, the hot tub located in back instead of ocean view, and 4 separate codes to gates and doors were the only downsides to this beautiful unit. We would definitely stay in this here again. This was our 3rd thanksgiving trip. Large, spacious and modern with gorgeous ocean views

Great Getaway

We stayed here with 3 other couples for a weekend getaway and it was perfect for us. The check-in process was easy: we were given gate and door codes that were activated at check-in time. The home was clean and well-appointed. The views were spectacular. The location at the end of The Strand was nice because there was no through traffic driving past. The beds were comfortable and provided a good night of rest. Check-out was the best because we didn’t have to hunt down trash cans and clean up, although we did end up doing dishes and loading the dishwasher because the home is too nice to leave a pile of dishes in the sink.

A great experie

We four couples had a wonderful time at your condo. The place was all that we expected and more. The 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms were ideal for us. We loved the living room with the glass door throughout the wall facing the ocean. The kitchen was well stocked but we missed the garbage disposal and had some problems with the ice maker. Most of the problems we had were taken care of in a timely manner. Pablo was very helpful. It was a most wonderful vacation.

Awesome patio to relax and enjoy the view!

We loved our stay. The house was well equipped and beautifully decorated. I loved the wide hallways and the expansive living/kitchen/patio. It made it easy for our large group to hang out and enjoy the view.
We did have an issue with the queen bedroom. It had no shades and the outside light (with no switch) was very bright and shined all night. It made for interruptions during sleep. This is an easy fix so hopefully they take care of it.
We also had an issue with the spa. The water level dropped but we couldn’t easily add more water because there is no hose on the patio. I text the company but they didn’t respond. They did respond to other requests so perhaps this was just a on off.
We took our two dogs. They had a great time walking the strand and spending time with the family.

Dream vacation home

Wonderful Penthouse property truly on the beach from. Large well appointed space with a wonderful outdoor deck with couches in a fire pit. The property management company was easy to deal with and listened to us for a couple of hiccups. I would highly recommend this property and beachfront rentals for people looking to get away to the beach.

Summer family vacation

We had a wonderful time at our condo. The unit has everything you need to feel at home. The only thing that made my stay stressful was the bad internet connection half of one day. I specifically booked one extra day with the intent of working from the vacation home but the internet was so slow that I was unable to work the last part of the day which made the day very stressful. It wasn't until the next day that the internet got fixed which at that point was moot. I would stay again but would need to make sure to bring my own hot spot next time.
