Amazing 4-bedroom vacation home sitting on the beach! This is the LOWER LEVEL of a two-unit villa. This one-story rental has a full kitchen with granite counters, travertine floors, and a living and dining room that looks straight out to the beach. Nothing was spared when this rental was built. We have vacationed with Beachfront in the past. The home was beautiful and in a great location, however the homeless population has increased significantly and with this property being next to a parking area, they hang out and smoke marijuana outside of the patio, which wasn’t ideal for my grandson or very pregnant daughter. The property was broken the entire stay and did not lock so people would walk through our property which was unsettling. We asked for it to be fixed the first day, but it never was.
A maintenance guy or cleaning person cleaning one of your properties blocked our garage so we couldn’t leave. We finally knocked on several doors, locating him. He was a jerk, but the other maintenance person was very apologetic and professional.
We had to have the maintenance guy cha he out our umbrella that was broken, he was very accommodating.
We would obviously stay again and know the end of season has many issues.

There was some broken glass near the spa when we arrived. I mentioned it and was told it would be cleaned up. My son cut his toe very badly the next day with a piece of glass stuck inside and it bled pretty badly. There was also graffiti on the wall of the building that should be taken care of.

Issues with tub in sand harbor room being patched and now rusting. Just has clear bath at covering it. It was this way a year ago when we stayed. It is disgusting to use. Recessed light above bed in Port room is patched and has plaster hanging down over bed. Not acceptable. Kitchen lights full of bugs. Living room flooded with storm and we had to use towels to mop up floor. Outside light was out when we checked in and we could not see to put code in door. One hand towel per room is ridiculous. Don’t you think it doesn’t get wet and dirty during our stay? Does anyone check these places out before we check in? Place needs maintenance. Love the location and view and hot tub.

The property was over described. The furniture was old, A/C units didn't blow cold. Advertised a Keurig coffee maker and there was not one. The neighbors were extremely loud. Absolutely no privacy between units. Would not recommend or ever come back.

During the time of your visit we were providing Keurigs upon request, however, we are now providing them in our properties without prior requests. It's disappointing to know the neighbors were loud, if notified we are able to contact guests anonymously and remind them of our good neighbor policy and noise ordinance. The guest experience is very important to us, we are sorry this was not a good match but hope that if you ever stay in the area again, you contact us to try another property that may better suit your desired needs.

Although this unit had 2 flights of stairs to access from the garage, thanks to your fabulous maintenance man, we were able to drive on the Strand just about to the unit to deliver my elderly Aunt and Uncle and my sister, all of whom walk with canes or walkers. Thank you.

Great Family Spot

We enjoyed a wonderful stay over Labor Day weekend. The unit was perfect for my husband and I, our adult children and grandkids. There is plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen was well equipped. Not having any vehicle traffic in front of the unit and direct access to the walkway outside was wonderful, not to mention the spa which our grandson loved using. Our only issue was the main air conditioning unit unit would only work if all the doors and windows were closed. One day it was 95° and even with all of that done the unit would not turn on so it was a little uncomfortable for everyone. We would stay we would stay here again.

Great weekend getaway, with only minor issues

Overall, the property is well kept and lovely. Although there were a few issues...the window air conditioners in the bedrooms are VERY noisy and prevent sleep. The rear bathroom did not function correctly. The parking garage can be an issue if you have 2 full sized vehicles. But street parking is available within a few blocks. The patio could have been cleaner/swept. It would be nice to have a little more seperation between the neighboring unit (maybe a higher privacy wall) and also along the stairway to the beach. When renters from other units walk down the stairway, it feels as if they are right on our patio. All of that said-we had a great time and the location and size of the unit cannot be beat!

A Much Needed Escape

We booked the rental out of a desire to have a mini getaway after being cooped up at home since the pandemic started in March. The property we rented fit all of our needs- a fully equipped kitchen, beds for all five of us, a spa, a BBQ grill, a TV with all the apps (Netflix, Disney +, etc.) and a view to die for. It was in an ideal location- the beach was not too far away.
The only issues we experienced were a couple of kitchen utensils not being clean and being unable to find a way to turn on the hose to refill the spa with water. Otherwise, the entire stay was very pleasant and just what we needed to escape and relax. We will definitely be back!

Lovely Condo

We had a four family staycation at this wonderful unit - 12 of us. We were all very easily accommodated and comfortable. Each room has its own bathroom which was really nice for each family. A few things to know. This is the lower unit on the beach level- which was great! The street level is much higher and there is a unit directly above with 7 bedrooms and two floors). There were guests in that upper unit, but everyone was communicative to each other and polite.
To access the lower unit, there are A LOT of very narrow stairs. We recommend you have one person access the unit with the codes, and then unload your car by accessing beach gate on the strand. As you pass the unit on Pacific, turn on on Wisconsin street to the strand, then left. It dead ends RIGHT at the beach gate to the unit! You just use the code and so easy. We didn't know this to unload, but we did to leave and it was much easier. The walk to the sandy beach at low tide was only a few minutes north. No sandy beach in front of this unit, but the view is lovely. Bring beach chairs and umbrellas if you want to go to the beach.
We made a request for some extra bedding, and a breaker switch went off and the kitchen outlets didn't work. The management company sent someone right away for both.

Great Location!

Beautiful Beach House with Amazing View

Absolutely beautiful house!!!! The view is amazing. It is right next to the water and has a beautiful view of the sunset. If I remember correctly there are 3 king beds, 1 full bed, 2 pull out couch beds and the “other” beds are twin size bench beds next to the windows in 2 of the rooms. If you’re gonna have the max of 14 people it will be a tight squeeze, but it was great! I felt safe the whole time and the fact that we didn’t have to clean up for check out was great! Only complaint would be the Wifi and there is absolutely no cell service inside the house. Parking wasn’t bad, there is 2 spots in the garage and plenty of parking on the street as long as you get there earlier in the day.

Amazing getaway!

Truly a special place to take the family and celebrate my wife's Birthday. The Ocean crashes right out side your door step. The Dolphins love the water right out front and if they come out to say "Hi" and play in the waves iexpectva true show. We saw them 2 days in a row and was truly special and the cherry on top to our beach house stay. Waves, fire pit, hot tub, spacious and clean all made it a place that will forever be a home away from home!

Great Location

This group of properties is in a great location, walking distance to the oceanside pier, but far enough south that the "south strand" of road doesnt pass in front. The quality and appearance of the property is good, and it has everything you could need. It is very expensive, but in my opinoin a decent price for the location and size. If you are a first time renter there are a few things you should know (if you read the fine print all of this is on the website, but it can be ambiguous):
Most of the time there is no beach at the oceanside locations. When the tide is at its lowest, in this unit, you can climb down the rocks in front and have a small strip of sand for kids to play on (no access for those unable to climb large rocks). If you are planning for small kids to run out onto the sand from this unit, this isnt a good fit. It is a 15 minute walk north to the beach at oceanside pier. Unless you are renting the entire building (4 floors I think), this unit is like a condo with individual renters on each floor, and privacy if desired will be an issue. As a non smoker surrounded by smokers above and to the side we were unwilling to sit on the porch in the constant smoke. Our preference, but must be considered if you dont like smoke. On a busy weekend there were few times where nobody was smoking outside. Booking is easy and management was very attentive to some maintenance needs we had and resolved them quickly. Know the booking cancellation policy, I booked inside the cancellation period and made a simple mistake (I knew the policy, just made a keystroke mistake a few weeks before our intended stay), I called right away to correct and was denied a full refund of the single night change. As a return renter I found this rather unappealing and is the main reason for the 3 star rating. Management offered different less ideal remedies. We enjoyed the week, and it is nice that each room has its own bathroom, and the kids loved the hot tub (not smoke averse)

The rental unit was really nice. The only challenge was with the cell phone service. It appears to work in the upper unit but not in the lower unit. The maintenance team were very prompt and professional.

Kids had a blast!

My grandchildren had so much fun climbing on the rocks and playing in the waves.
Location was a little farther then we had planned, but if you watched your times you could miss the traffic.
Wifi worked well, cell service was bad.
Our only issue with the house was there were fruit fly by the dozens on the day we came in.

Summer Vacay 2016

I would not rent a lower unit only ever again there is not enough airflow through the unit and even though we are on vacation we like to have a TV in our room so that was less than ideal but not a deal breaker. The unit was nice but you can tell it is older and been on the rental seen for awhile. The customer service has always been top notch so we appreciate that and will continue to return for many years 🙂

Oceanside Condo Wonderful vacation

Making the reservations was very easy and they were so helpful and friendly. Condo a joy so beautiful inside and out. It fit our needs perfect. We had seven people and everything worked out so great. The view was so awesome and I enjoyed having my windows open at night and hearing the ocean. One of my favorite things is to be able to hear the ocean from my bed. My daughter-in-law just loved it along with my son and my four granddaughters. They loved being on the ocean and spent a lot of time there. Would go back again and would tell anyone who wants to stay by the ocean this is the place. My daughter-in-law would love to go back with some of her sisters. ...this was our 14th annual golf trip and we selected Beachfront as our home away from home! Everything about the unit met and/or exceeded our expectations! We stayed at 811B S Pacific Street. Ground level,with direct access to the beach walkway. The panoramic windows in the unit allowed us to watch the waves break against the rocks and we enjoyed the sunsets at this west facing unit!! Everything in the unit was as advertised...lot's of room, well equipped and exceptionally **** and span! We appreciated the security...locked gates from both the street and the beach. The rooms were awesome!...we had 4 guys and each had a private room and bath. Since we're old guys, we really appreciated the hot tub after our rounds of golf! We used the charcoal BBQ for a number of dinners!...the steaks were super! We rented a GMC Yukon and it fit well in the garage and we had plenty of extra room to store our clubs and golf travel bags. Only downside was the lack of light at the end of the garage...unless we opened the door, we couldn't see in the back of the SUV. The unit is close to most amenities and highways...easy to travel to our golf courses and shopping. For a great breakfast...go to the Beach Break Café!...Dinner & Drinks...select the Masters!! We highly recommend Beachfront and will definitely return for our next San Diego trip!...thanks Beachfront!!!

Oceanside Fall Break

This is our 5th consecutive year renting from Beach Front Only during Fall Break each October. We have had a different house each year, all of them were wonderful! We do have our favorites now and know which ones to request, but each has direct beach access and is the standard that we live in at home. They are all beautiful homes and Oceanside has perfect beaches! This year it was much warmer than we expected, but one phone call and Beach Front had fans in each room and windows opened for us in 10 minutes. We also encountered very noisy neighbors (a first) late on the last night of our stay. Again, one phone call and it was settled! I don't even consider any other vacation rental companies. I know I will get superior quality and service with Beach Front Only! See you next fall!

Good, not great

The house is listed as "on the sand", when it is not. It is on the boardwalk which is up against a a bunch of large rocks. You have to walk down a bit in either direction to get to the sand. That was disappointing since we chose this house based on the premise that it was on the sand since

Second, this home had no AC which was a problem the week that we stayed. We are from Phoenix and we know hot weather but the week we were there and staying without AC was awful. 2 of the kids and 3 adults all got heat rash because we couldn't escape the heat even indoors. The upstairs unit was so hot that our kids couldn't even sleep because they were do
Uncomfortable. Installation of AC should be considered since people are spending thousands of dollars to enjoy a relaxing vacation.
The back patio was nice and secure. Good views of the ocean and it's at the end of the strand so you don't have cars driving in front of your patio which was nice. The unit was clean and in a good location as far as walking distance to the pier. The noise was a problem. We had to keep the windows open due to the excessive heat and the other units did as well. This proved difficult because we could hear everything going on in the other house until 3am since the units are so close together. Overall it felt disappointing to spend so much money on a vacation house that was so hot and loud.

While this home is directly on the beach, the sand area does vary depending on the time of year and the tide. The rocks are there to protect the property. We understand that unprecedented heat added to your frustration. We are not accustomed to that weather in San Diego, and generally do not require air conditioning. Beautiful beach house, not impressed with the beach

Beach house was very nice, we loved the patio with the beautiful view and hot tub, but we were very disappointed that there was no beach in front of the house.,. The pictures were a bit deceiving because it looks like you can play on the beach right in front of the house. We had to walk about a 5-10min walk to get beach to play on. We tried getting the air conditioning to work and never could get it going, we also wished the cell reception was better. But we did love the house overall, it was very clean and it was huge! We loved that there was a washer and drier and the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. I would recommend this house to other people but let them know about the beach access.

It was a beautiful home and nice location. The beach was a short walk but very nice location at end of strand and .7 from pier and restaurants. Home was very clean and nice. They worked great with us for a last minute stay. Only issues were Verizon phone service was non existent bc in basement. No bedrooms face water and heated floors weren't accessible and was little chilly at night bc was an April stay.

To my pleasant surprise, the property is in great condition. It looks like the place was recently renovated (fresh paint). It is also very spacious and got a great view! We enjoyed watching the sunset from dining area. There are also plenty of sleeping areas. The beds are a little too soft to my liking, but not to a point I woke up with a back ache.
Overall, we all had a blast staying at the property and would recommend it.

The house was beautiful and was fully stocked with everything we needed to make our stay easy. The management company responded to us quickly when we contacted them with a need. The view was gorgeous and the promise of "beachfront" was exactly that. We would absolutely stay in this exact house again....and we have already booked a shorter stay in one of the smaller units without all of our kids. The only negative was that it was an uncharacteristically hot week while we were there, and it was unbearably warm in the house at times, especially at night when the breeze died down. The option of central air or of a portable a/c unit for the bedrooms would have made the stay perfect.

We absolutely loved the unit in terms of location, beauty of views, comfort, and cleanliness. It was actually better then the pictures protrayed. We had a fantastice time and are very grateful for finding the unit. We would probably rent it again except for the stairs. There were 2 problems; I had specically made a big point to the person who helped me of finding a unit without many stairs, as someone in our family has difficulty with stairs. I was assured this was the case with this unit. (I was told ther were 5 steps) In fact there were about 18-20 very treacherous steps to get down to the unit. They are very narrow and deep. It was extremely difficult for my family member. In addition, there were plumbing problems. We could not get cold water in several of the bathrooms. Someone did pick up the guest services line each time we called but it took 3 calls for the problem to be fixed.

The property was amazing and we are sad to be home. The only things we did not like was the lack of privacy to the neighbors and the rocks between the house and the beach.
In October, Sandag has slated to start the sand replenishment project starting right at Wisconsin St. and going South. This will cover all the beaches infront of our properties. The tides and sand level has continually changed over the last few years since these homes were built, and we hope that with the sand replenishment, they will be back to how they were a few years ago.

It was a great group vacation. The condo easily accomodated 8 of us. There were dishes for 12, dining for 8 and actual glass wine glasses. Beautiful place...would definately stay again. However, the checkin time is at 4p.m. as you lose hours of your stay at either end. Checkout is 10 a.m. making everyone rush to get out before you incur a rediculous charge of $50 per bedroom if you checkin early or out late. Suggest the times be changed to 3 and 11. Just 2 hrs would make a world of difference. Otherwise the place is fantastic from the view to the comfort and cleanliness.

The internet pictures for this rental do not do it justice. The beach location is fantastic. The staff is friendly and helpful without being invasive. Our family had a great vacation in Oceanside. We saw dolphins swimming with the surfers almost every morning. There are plenty of activities or you can just enjoy the ocean from the patio. We are so glad we chose this condo over a stuffy closed in hotel room. It was definitely worth every extra penny! Oceanside is now one of our favorite vacation spots.

Incredible Escape!!

We rented this property as a retreat space, and it was incredible!! The space was more than comfortable; the word luxurious comes to mind. It was even better than we expected from the pictures. The location and view are unparalleled--home, deck, rocks, water. A lot of us just sat & watched the waves for hours. It's off the street but has plenty of free street parking in addition to 2 garage spaces. The living areas and kitchen were spacious--even for more than 10, the beds comfortable, and the bathrooms plentiful. It's an easy walk to the pier and the town. We couldn't say enough good things about our experience & none of us wanted to leave--ever. The house, built for 12, has settings & linens for 12, but it would have been nice to have a few extra towels, sets of silverware, pillows, etc. The DVD connections to the TV were broken, but everything else was in great shape. You may want to give the land line number to your contacts because cell service this close to the beach is spotty.

Oceanside Sunsets

On our last evening in Oceanside, we saw a sunset from you Beachfront condo that was spectacular. It began with the clouds breaking for a bright yellow sun which turned into dark red and then purple. It lasted for more than a hour and all of us took lots of pictures. We will never forget the sunset or the location!
