My wife is in the middle of chemo treatments and this was a break to escape the tough road she is on. It was perfect to sit and listen to the waves crash on the rocks. The place was very nice and provided exactly what we hoped for. We used the jacuzzi, the grill, and the gas fire pit. It made for a very enjoyable weekend.

It’s all about the patio and view!

Rented it for the ocean view and hot tub on the patio and it did not disappoint! The place was huge and would be comfortable for a party of 8. The AC in the bedrooms was great. The place could use some updating and the biggest concern was that the door to the beach did not close let alone lock, so was a bit concerned about safety, but it all worked out.

With regard to some of the amenities . . . while I understand you cannot supply everything, but as me the customer traveling by plane, it would have been nice to have some of the basics .... plastic wrap, roll of foil for the Bbq. I only needed one piece but would have had to buy a whole roll for one meal. Or the site said 'cooking oil' would be provided but it was not found! It is hardly worth purchasing all these things - and no way to even take them home with me. To make one dinner required quite a bit of condiments that would have to be purchased. Other than that, the place was beautiful - bedding, towels, etc. was perfect!

Overall, I would like to say we had a great time. Best thing about property was the location. Place is a little outdated, but nice for a highly used rental. Need to fix a few things also I didn’t get to check in till 5:00 not because they were still cleaning it’s cause my code didn’t work. Also half the house didn’t have electricity when we got in.

The only issue was parking situation, very confusing because of car lift in garage. There should be instructions posted in a place other than your app. The app didn't provide details just said car lift.
Also beach was not accessible by foot, we had to drive due to construction in front of condos.

Had a wonderful time. The house was clean and in great condition. Rooms and beds were nice with the exception of the last room. Had a kids bed that could be replaced. Very uncomfortable. Loved our stay!

Right in the beach and a short walk to the sand. We loved walking to the pier and local restaurants which were very good. We parked our car in the lift and didn’t take it out until we left. They sent someone out immediately when we got there to show us how to use the lift. When I saw there was no lounger on the patio, I texted them and they brought one out. The area felt safe and was a nice place to walk our dogs. Our grands loved playing in the hot tub. Sunsets were beautiful. It is sad to see the coastline wasting away. The waves came onto the patio one night.

This place is a perfect haven for families who love the beach most especially when your about to open your sliding door and the smell of the ocean breeze catches your breath. Very spacious and all the household amenities are all in place so there is nothing to worry, just enjoy your stay. Caretakers are just a phone call away and in matter of 3 minutes they are right in front of the house for service. Oceanside Living

This home was at beach level - right on the ocean. The waves were crashing on the rocks in front at high tide. Be aware that there is no beach directly in front of the house; the water runs right to the rocks. However, there is beach access within several hundred yards, and the city pier is 8 blocks away - a 10 minute walk.
The property was modern, clean, and in excellent condition. It is well stocked with dishes, glassware, and cooking utensils. The bedrooms contained king, king, and standard beds. The kings had ensuite bathrooms. Only the master BR had a closet. Evidently, in Oceanside you can call a room a bedroom even though it doesn't have a closet.
There were a couple minor maintenance issues: the lights on the microwave above the oven were burned out; and the fan in the hallway bathroom stayed on only about 30 seconds regardless of what the timer was set at. The issues were so minor that they didn't warrant calling the property agent, but there was no form for feedback to note these issues.
The most frustrating shortcoming was that there were no written instructions for anything on the property. Although many items of interest (checkin, checkout instructions, trash location, house rules) were posted to the mobile app, nothing was written and collected in a notebook, such as one finds in hotel rooms. For those of us who don't have our nose stuck in a phone all the time, this was inconvenient, to say the least. There were absolutely no instructions for operating the TV and cable box - either written or online. I had to call the management company to find out how to tune in ESPN! This was totally unacceptable.
The parking lift utilized by unit #3 was somewhat of a pain. It took extra effort to park the car in the garage. Finding a parking spot on the street was not difficult, although guests are discouraged from doing so.
In totality, a very attractive accommodation, with some minor vexations; enough bring my overall rating down to 4 stars.

Great Little Getaway

So. Oceanside Condo

issues included: No security gate from sidewalk/street to condo, slight noise from unit above (2) and thru wall next to water heater.

Great View!

You cannot beat this location and view! So pretty to wake up to the waves crashing. The hot tub is fine, but dated for sure and in need of an update. Ours leaked but the management company was good about sending someone out daily to refill it. We did not use the garage lift associated with our unit but found street parking easily. The next door and upstairs neighbors are still private enough.

Highly Recommended

Beautiful spot and convenient location.
Amenities were fantastic and we had an ample supply of everything for a very comfortable 4 night stay.
Management was very helpful with everything and on the spot within 5-10 minutes if we needed something.
The lift isn’t a big deal and easy to operate. Management will demonstrate how to operate upon arrival as well.
We had a December stay and the tide is generally high at that time but there is a sandy beach within walking distance. If your traveling from out of state then check the tide charts if you prefer private beach access in front of the condo and plan accordingly. There was still a sandy spot in front of the rock barrier for our kids to play in the sand anyways too.
For those with young children that don’t yet walk it’s good to know that there is a stairway that we had to block with a pullout bed on the beach level. I never noticed from pictures or reviews but the pullout bed prevents complete access. I suppose management may even have supplied a gate if requested.
We plan to visit yearly moving forward for our family vacation.

Our Mini Vacay

When we walked into the unit, the view was beautiful and we found the unit was clean and very pretty. It was supposed to have two king beds and one queen bed. The two room that had the king bed were beautiful and to our surprise, they both had attached bathrooms! When we came to the third bedroom, instead of a queen bed, it had a full sized bed that had a bedframe that looked like it had once been a waterbed and they dropped the mattress into it. There were railings on all sides. Both of my sons and my husband are 6 feet tall and no one fit on that bed. To make matters worse, both of my daughters-in-law are seven months pregnant and neither could get out of that bed without help. That was very disappointing. We made it work the best we could. Also, the tv had to have wifi to work at all and the wife kept going out. Normally, we are gone all day but with the virus out we just wanted a place to go to be together and enjoy the beach. We did call for service. It took a while when the young man came out to check. He was in the unit for about two minutes and didn't even look at the tv. He just told us, while looking at his cell (to be fair, he might have been checking it for bars for the wifi) that the wifi was really bad and then he left. It was very disappointing. The kids slept on the side beds they had in the hallway. They were excited about them first, but found the thin mattresses to be beaten down a little too much and needed a little extra padding so we doubled those thin mattresses up. They did have two setts of beautiful washers and dryers that worked wonderfully. They had plenty of blankets. Towels only for the first night. Since we couldn't even check in until 4 p.m. and then had to leave at 10 a.m., we felt cheated out of a whole day. The nice thing was that since they have you pay for a cleaning service, they actually tell you that in an email, we only had to pick up a bit before we left.

Well Managed but a little scruffy

Location was the best and it was well stocked. Lights going off all the time is annoying and furniture is scruffy. All our needs were met in a timely fashion. T.V. was replaced. Jacuzzi needed constant attention. All in all it was a typical rental. Bedroom had no closet. Strange layout of rooms. But patio area had nice view. Car on the lift made it difficult to go in or out.

Key Location for Family and Friends

We enjoyed 4 days beautiful days in Oceanside. The rental was clean and spacious. Patio, grill and spa worked out well. You are in within walking distance to restaurants, pier, and harbor. I would rent again. Only issue was parking in the building; not a fan of the lift. Plenty of parking on the street; not an issue.

Lack of any cell service was extremely frustrating. This was concerning if someone is trying to reach you. I would enjoy staying there again but not without a booster for cell service. People cannot be without connection to others.

Excellent location!

The 3 BR rental was clean & exactly as shown. It helps to look at the video to see the layout. The location was excellent, right next to the seawall & the ocean. It was nice because this location is more private than some of the other locations on The Strand where car traffic is allowed. Father down there is more car & foot traffic between the houses and the ocean, but not a problem here. Our group was all adults & young adults so an 8 block walk to the beach was not a problem. Just understand you will have a little walk to the public beach if you are vacationing with very small children. We really enjoyed the amenities of the hot tub, grill, and outdoor fireplace. Management will explain how to operate the underground parking elevator when you arrive & my husband did fine with it. Might be a little inconvenient if you are pulling your car in and out a lot but we walked almost everywhere so it was not an issue for the few times we drove. Plenty to do & places to eat within walking distance too. Would stay here again!

Great Family Vacation

Overall, we have the best stay ever! The ocean view from the doorstep was perfect. The house was in good shape having a lot of extra sheets and towels. Everyone enjoyed a few walk going to the beach for a swim. Customer service were very accommodating. The only issue that we have was to unlocked the door the minute we arrived on the location. Someone assisted us over the phone and it was resolved immediately. Also, we found out that no air condition on the property. Additional fans was offered to us and so, we’re thankful about it. A memorable experience to cherished with the whole family! A lot of Facebook friends are asking the property for their future trip ‘ coz they saw the place from our picture being posted were great! Already recommended the place!

Great location, perfect family vacation house

We stayed at this beautiful home for 3 nights. our group had 10 ppl including 3 children. we did have to use beds in the hallway, but it worked out OK. the ONLY drawback was the beachfront access...there is a rock wall in front of the house, you do have to walk a bit to use the beach. The front door lock didn't work, maintenance had to come and let us in, the door never was able to be unlocked at the front door from the outside, we had to use the sliding door...not really a problem. we loved it here, and would gladly return next year.

Everything was amazing! the view of the ocean was great. My friends and I had a fun and comfortable stay.The only complaints we had was with the wifi. It was slow and our phones did not get service. Also the Jacuzzi water was warm and I wished it would have been hotter, but other than those two things. My friends and I had a great weekend.

Cut off from the World

Our unit was lovely, comfortable, and clean, but we could not get the TV to work nor hardly any cell phone connections. I was not able to call out nor receive incoming voice calls nor texts. However, telemarketers were able to make my phone ring every night at 2:00 a.m. I used Verizon; my daughter used ATT. We got announcements we were out of the service area. Even the phone provided in the unit was unusable.

No beach

The rental was absolutely beautiful and very well equipped. The only problem was that there was no beach! Even the beaches north and south were not usable for our 3 and 6 year olds! They were so rocky it was painful to go in the water. That was a true bummer for all of us.. we never would have rented the place had we known about the rocks!
In fact, the person I reserved with assured me that there was a beach beyond the rocks!!!
The unit was very conveniently located to good restaurants—we could walk everywhere!

We had a great family vacation and especially enjoyed the patio. The builld-in beds in the hallway would be fine for kids, but are not great for adults, as they afford little privacy. Plenty of room for everyone AND right on the water

We come every year. This was our first stay in this particular condo. The only issue is that there is no beach access. It’s just a short walk down the strand but still a walk. The hot tub was great. We had a problem with WiFi and empty propane cylinders but the management took care of it immediately.

Lovely Beach House

The house was nice and right on the water!!! Great location and short walk to the beach. I woke up to a massage on the patio and went to bed after relaxing in the hot tub. There is only parking for 1 car and we had a little trouble with the lift but maintenance was there to help and answered all our questions one time. The only problem we had was the internet, connection issues. We loved our stay and plan to do it again.

Definately close to the ocean

There are definite good points to this rental. There are also some issues that to be aware of.The positives include proximity to the ocean (about 15 yards at high tide); a relatively quiet neighborhood in close proximity to shopping and parks; well-equipped patio with grill, umbrella, Jacuzzi, gas fire pit, and great ocean view; clean and well equipped unit with a lot of sleeping spaces and individual privacy; professional management that was very responsive and quick to repair things,without being overbearing, and very good pre-arrival communication.The issues to be aware of include:1. The Ocean directly in front of the unit does not have a beach. At low tide you can walk along it, after accessing it by scrambling over large boulders, but there is no dry sand. The closest beach is about one-half mile away. Not a terribly long walk except for someone with limited mobility. 2. Parking is a real problem. While the unit sleeps up to 10 (or more) you are allowed only one parking spot at the unit. And it involves lowering your car below the surface and then bringing it up every time you need it for travel or retrieving an item from it. There is parking on the street that requires moving the car on the days trash is collected and also some luck in finding a spot. And, free parking is offered at the lot of the managing company, one mile away.3. There is no accommodation for entry to, or exit from, the unit for the disabled. We had a mobility- impaired elder with us and we had difficulty assisting her to descend fairly daunting stairs. There is an elevator but available only to service personnel. We later found out that it is easier to park at the end of a side street and push a wheel chair along a sandy trail off the patio than to descend and ascend those stairs from the main street. 4.Proximity of neighbors. There are two units above looking down at you while you are on the patio and a separate patio right next to yours on each side. noisy neighbors could be a problem.

Beautiful beachfront condo

Decor and furnishings were nice and we felt at home in the condo. We were very relaxed and condo had everthing we needed. Unit was fairly clean however the floors could have been cleaned better. Unit is very large and was quiet during our stay. Instructions for the garage car lift are extremely vague but we finally figured it out and our suv fit perfectly in it. Also one of the sinks was not draining properly and they fixed same day we called while we were out exploring. We would stay again!

Loved our time. Quiet and beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay at P128-3. Very quiet and the kids loved it. There is a short walk to get down to the beach area but well worth it. The pictures do not show how large this unit really is. There is plenty of room for a large family. We are a family of six and we were all able to have our own space while on our vacation.

If I had to find a negative thing about this unit it would be the internet. It is pretty bad. We are a tech family and when not hanging at the beach or going out for a nice dinner, the kids like to catch up on their online sites and movies on Netflix. Internet was so slow you could not do either. No cell reception (Verizon). Would have been nice to make calls using their wifi but it was nonexistent.

Super clean which my wife loved! We will be coming back!

Thanksgiving Dinner at the Beach

We had a wonderful time. The home was very clean and spacious. The only problem we had was the lift for the car, however, I called and they came out right away to assist. Also, all the stove number buttons do not work but we made do.
I do have to thank the staff and cleaning crew - my sister left her purse behind and cleaning crew turned it in to the office. Thank you for being honest!

If you rent a room for 13, or 25 people and get only one parking space, then ask your guests to park a mile away...that is very inconvenient and irritating...but then you get back to your room and the clean, beautiful space plus amazing view, makes you forget about the parking stuff!

Wonderful Condo, Better Than We Ever Expected!

P128-3 was PERFECT! The unit is huge & exactly as described! The patio w/hot tub, BBQ, outdoor furniture & beautiful ocean view was AMAZING! There was more than enough sheets, pillows & beach towels! It was easiest for us to unload by parking @ the end of Wisconsin St & load in our luggage thru the back patio vs the 13 steps of the front entrance. The majority of our cell phones didn't have service inside the unit as we were informed, but there is a landline. Our front gate & rear patio gate had separate gate codes. The location is right on the ocean,we had beach in the late afternoon when the tide was low, but the larger beach is close & easy to walk to! The location is mostly vacation residential all along the Strand w/ most restaurants & shopping by the Harbor about 2 miles away. P128-3 parking is underground by access of the Garage LIFT. It's quite interesting, you enter the code to bring the lift cage up, drive in, get out of your car, enter the code & the lift cage takes your car underground. Our other cars parked on the streets near the unit. Just be aware of the street sweeping days so you don't get a ticket. We love, love, loved everything about the unit, we just wish restaurants were in walking distance. It would be REALLY nice if a list of restaurants w/address & phone #'s were provided inside the unit. We definitely want to stay here again!!!

Exactly what I was looking for

The location is perfect. As soon as we walked in the ocean view took our breath away. The kitchen has all the appliances we could want to cook a great meal. The rooms are super comfortable and quiet. I could only hear the upstairs neighbors once or twice walking but it was really quiet and the waves were also a low hum. It was so relaxing, and the staff is wonderful. I would gladly stay again!

Nice beachfront home

Good location, not brand new as described, well maintained property. I had to call the rental office several times for slow drain, requested for toiletries, gas tanks for bbq. They were very helpful but a hassle when you're on vacation.

Great Vacation

Unit 3 is exactly how the pictures look. So beautiful inside. Very clean. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. We had issues the first day with the shower not turning off and not being able to turn on the fire pit per the instructions. Maintenance was there within hours and took care of the shower and showed us how to work the firepit - Great Service!
Recommendations: more beach towels- a unit that big should have more than 3 beach towels - plenty for us but a larger group would to call and ask for more. Also, only one closet with a few hangers for the entire unit seems odd. The bunkbed room is super cozy, some hooks would be nice to hang items. Being on the ground level had it perks - fire pit, hot tub, easy access to beach path. Downside - noisy guest above you! You can hear the toilet flushing, drawers slamming shut - no fault to the rental property - just beware.
Parking for unit 3 was not ideal. The elevator garage lift was scary to use. Our midsize SUV barely fit. We just parked on the street which was fine until the 5 families renting one unit next door showed up and took up all the on street parking! Again - no fault of management property - just things to be aware of. Even with the small inconveniences we definitely would stay there again! Just so beautiful and comfortable.

Relaxation

We had a wonderful time, just relaxing. The kids could beach comb when the tide was down. You have to walk a bit to get to sand you can build a sandcastle in, but not a big deal. The unit was nicely appointed and stocked. It even had beach towels. We enjoyed the spa and fire pit. Bedrooms didn't have TVs in them, but when you have a view like that who's watching TV. The fridge had a leak with the filter but it was taken care of immediately. Great service. The only down side about being on the bottom floor is that we had noisy upstairs neighbors 2 of the 3 nights. Thin floors? or just heavy footed kids running an jumping? Also to be noted, there is little to no cell service on the beach, and the wifi was slow for streaming. This was not a big deal for us, but may be for others.
Either way it was a wonderful place to unwind.

Our Oceanside condo and vaca was amazing!

Our Oceanside condo was fully equipped with all the amenities and plenty of room for our family of 6. Two opted to sleep on sofas vs. full sized bunks or hallway sleepers, for comfort reasons. The staff at BFO Rentals responded promptly to our requests to fix the front beach-access gate/lock, replace a broken deck umbrella and provide elevator access to our unit. We had multiple vehicles and street parking (for mth of Feb) was not an issue. Unit comes with one garage parking space. Wifi worked but there is little/no cellular service in the unit. While this was inconvenient, having the ocean, the CA sunsets and sound of the waves just a few feet from our deck & fire pit table, more than made up for it. Thank you to all at BFO for helping to make this an unforgettable vacation for our family. We look forward to planning our return trip!

Oceanside Beachfront Condo

This beachfront condo had amazing views. It was so nice to watch the waves all day. Only a few steps from the strand/boardwalk, this condo was in a great location with minimal foot traffic passing by. It was clean, the management staff was attentive, and all furnishings & appliances updated and nice. The only drawbacks were the lack of cell coverage, very weak wifi outside of general texting (sending emails, downloading & streaming impossible), and we were not informed ahead of time that the garage was actually a "lift". We ended up not even using the garage lift because our car would not fit with the camper top. Parking out front was not an issue at all though (maybe the time of year?) so it was not a problem to park on the street.

Amazing Oceanfront Stay

We celebrated my 40th birthday here and it was amazing! From the location, decor, spaciousness, cleanliness...everything exceeded my expectations. We surfed & boogie boarded everyday. Fortunately, the tide was low during the day so we were able enjoy the beach. When the tide is high, there is no beach since the water comes all the way to the rocks. Restaurants and coffee shops are within walking distance.
Just a few minor negatives...There was no outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach. There was a hose but it needed some sort of key to turn on. It was no biggie, they did provide a bucket of water to rinse off our feet. The patio is shared but the units are divided with a glass wall so they are semi-private with your own fire pit and hot tub.
We truly enjoyed our stay and it was a pleasure working with Beachfront Only. We miss waking up to the soothing sounds of the ocean and are already looking forward to our next stay.

Unbelievably clean for a Beachfront Property. Lots of thoughtful touches. Only negative was having their very polite staff in and out of the unit for two of our 4 nights, trying to get wi fi up, unfortunately no luck and our don in law, daughter and grandkids had to leave s day early as his business is internet reliant. Otherwise all was perfect!

Home away from home only on the ocean.

We all agree it was a wonderful stay. Every thing you could ask for. Only one problem, the manager had to come inside our unit to repair the lift. He was very nice and quickly finished the job. However, he had to enter several times. It was lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.

I was disappointed there was only one closet in the unit for hanging clothes. I would add an armoire and small dresser. The wi fi and television were difficult. There was no guest welcome book although they said it would be provided. No instructions for anything. Not even a simple map.
